Glimmers are the opposite of triggers… what has made your week special? What small moments have brought you joy?

Sadly none, it's been an awful week. Hoping others might have something cheerful to share.

DressDilemma · 02/03/2024 16:21

Using my new walking pad makes me feel happy that I am doing something good for my health. Otherwise I have a very sedentary lifestyle.

Also finding the time this week to cook a couple of family favourite weekday dinners.

JingsMahBucket · 02/03/2024 16:25

I was able to get away by myself this week and clear my head a bit. Returning to a cluttered house but I’m personally feeling a bit lighter. 🙂

AhBiscuits · 02/03/2024 16:27

I bought a new jumper and I really love it; so warm, comfortable and flattering. I'm going through a major wardrobe overhaul and every time I clear out some of the cheap ugly rubbish and get something lovely it sparks joy.
Workwise has been a really awful couple of weeks so I'm enjoying the little things where I can.

Stressyfab · 02/03/2024 16:29

Baby cut his first tooth 😁

BCBird · 02/03/2024 16:31

Teacher here. Work relentless, some groups very difficult, but the look .of joy from.some when I walk into my special needs class is heart-warming

vidflex · 02/03/2024 16:31

My grandson met me from work for the first time (he's 12). As I walked out I saw him sitting on the wall and it suddenly struck me that I'm getting to see my kids grow up all over again in their children. I feel very lucky.

ZeroFucksGivenToday · 02/03/2024 16:34

Had a mare start to the week.

but; I popped to a local clothes shop and discovered they were stocking some wax bars from a local woman. They are lush and currently making my house smell so nice.
I've actually got motivated enough to clean today.
and I've wrapped my daughters birthday presents well in advance.

so lots of small happy glimmers.

That is so lovely. Bless him . Cherish every moment 🥰

The first signs of spring- my camelia tree is flowering. Dh bought me daffodils which I love. Feeling better after an awful cold which knocked me for 6, and consequently alot happier and a little less tired - have been sleeping alot! Small win on my premium Bonds 😀

35pEnergyDrink · 02/03/2024 16:42

Oh I have a few!

Bought some really good jeans - and they were only £25 from M&S - and DH said “they are so you”

DS had an important music performance and did way better than expected. Turns out he can pull it out of the bag when he needs to

Daffodils look amazing along our lane and although it is freezing it feels like spring may be here soon

We are having curry for tea ❤️

Purplecatshopaholic · 02/03/2024 16:47

My latest rescue dog is coming out of her shell now, and coming to sit beside me and look for cuddles. Totally priceless to see her start to trust.

Dotty2dot · 02/03/2024 16:48

It's light in the mornings when I leave for work.

BogRollBOGOF · 02/03/2024 16:49

Stretching.

It's been a crap week and stretching tense muscles has felt extra good.

5PurpleDinosaurs · 02/03/2024 16:50

Not sure I have any. But I will look out for them.

I did start a new job though which is all about making life easier for people who are having a difficult time. So I am calling a young lady twice a day to remind her to take her medication- as an example. There are 8 of us in the office..... among other things we fixed someone's roof tile and we sorted out dog walking for a woman who has had 2 hip replacements.

Witchbitch20 · 02/03/2024 16:51

I’ve had a rubbish week but yesterday I managed to finally buy an attachment for my food processor (it’s been out of stock for over a year) and at lunch time it was delivered.

That's an amazing job and I'm sure you'll be making more difference to people's lives than you even realise.

PoliteTurtle · 02/03/2024 16:56

These are all so lovely so far 🥰

Managing to get tickets to see Boe and Ball in Les Mis-granted it's in Aberdeen which is about twelfty million miles from where we live but that's just a minor detail....😳🤣

AmaryllisChorus · 02/03/2024 17:07

Adult DS texted to say he is coming home for mother's day. His brother lives nearer us and had already said he'd come, so we'll have the whole family together again for the first time since Christmas and I can't bloody wait!

RedStripeypillow · 02/03/2024 17:36

Pupils saying a cheery Hello miss! In the corridor when they see you. A y11 rogue bringing me a past paper to mark of his own accord one lunch time. Seeing my own teen children.

shivbo2014 · 02/03/2024 17:39

5.39pm and its not dark yet.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 02/03/2024 17:41

I booked a holiday! I've been watching YouTube videos ofcthe resort and I am so excited! 3 months to go!

TobiasForgesContactLense · 02/03/2024 17:44

Went to a hobby group earlier today (obviously I can't say what as it would be outing <wink>) and there was someone there who has been really struggling with mental and physical health. I was so pleased for them that they felt well enough to come. I also had a lovely chocolate brownie.
