Would you be hungry

Would you be hungry if this is what you ate today:

7.30 2 weetabix and milk

12.30 small wholemeal roll with ham mayo and mustard, small low fat yoghurt, small apple and clementine

16.30 two crackers with blue cheese

I'm starving and it's two hours until tea?

I'm so really hungry or just craving food?

Well it's only day one of the new regime so it's a bit early to say if it's working or not.

It's fine to eat weetabix. Bread and pasta on a diet. It's just not the most trendy and inspiring. It just calorie deficit.

But I really need to stop eating chocolate /cake/ biscuits/ crisps /pate /butter /pastry and so I reckon a bowl of pasta with homemade tomato sauce is less of a concern than say a frozen southern fried chickens and chips.

Two weetabix is better than two slices of toast with butter and jam .

Small ham sandwich better than a Tesco meal deal etc

It's all relative

I genuinely find if I have a decent protein filled breakfast I’m much less likely to snack on crap later. Nothing wrong with weetabix per se but it may lead to cravings later on. Also a a ham sandwich wouldn’t fill me up at lunch and I’d be craving all sorts at 4pm. I try and front load the day.

But I agree small steps are a win.

I lost weight about 18 months ago and found I was hungry the first few days. I was determined to do it though, and after a few days it was no longer an issue.

On occasions when you really have to give in, look at something that's healthy but low in calories.

Quick update: same food and I am not hungry today- well not ravenous

Had a pre swim snack and ready for 1km.

Thanks everyone- I'll try and look at some higher protein breakfast and lunch ideas.

Yes, I would definitely be hungry. That's not very filling and quite carb heavy.

I often cook an extra chicken breast in the evening and have that for the following day’s lunch.
