Phillip Schofield reportedly DID pay ex lover

Twonewcats · 18/02/2024 14:55

Some of the tabloids today are reporting that an NDA was signed, and his ex was paid 6 figures for doing so.
Given that we already allegedly know everything, seems odd to gag him, so to speak...

Just a thought but does a NDA still apply if it covers criminal activity? 🤔

LakeTiticaca · 18/02/2024 16:31

Twonewcats · 18/02/2024 15:15

Like when Rolf H was exposed - my own mum said "oh, surely not him - he's a sweet man" 😒

I admit that was my first thought as well, but when the court case unfolded I was absolutely horrified 🤮🤢

I know you're getting slated for posting this but it is true. You only had to read the comments on the "This morning" Facebook page, before they changed it to no comments. It definitely was the older woman who defended him to the hilt. It was really embarrassing reading their comments. He could do no wrong in their eyes 🤦‍♀️

LakeTiticaca · 18/02/2024 16:34

The question I would put to those who defended him: how would you feel about a 60 year old bloke sniffing around your 18 year old son(or daughter for that matter)?

The HRT brigade? Do explain.

What a shameful, and unfactual, post.

Absolutely.

Why would women in their 40s and 50s and beyond, many with young DCs and teenagers defend PS? What a revolting sexist post ageist and frankly thick comment.

Quitelikeit · 18/02/2024 16:57

Yes I agree as they are dangling it on the side bar then that indicates they have been given definitive enough proof that it exists

I think they probably already know a lot of the details but cannot substantiate them to the legal test required without getting sued by PS

Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:02

That's interesting.
Graham Norton briefly mentioned him and Huw in a reward speech for Attitude mag iirc (attitudes towards gay people not having changed/cancel culture) and I watched some of his interview again.
I was surprised he hadn't had a reality TV stint/gone to GB news despite their stance last year/gone into Radio (he started out in radio).
I'd taken the view that perhaps the media frenzies were OTT retrospectively, especially given how many May September gay relationships there are (Fry/Gambo/Ian McKellen allegedly split up with a panto colleague recently 50 years younger than him!)
Phil's bf/mentee/younger lover/twink/victim (insert where you see fit) had capacity and was entitled to both anonymity and agency re his sex life. He was in the Lakes last year but then went to NY to get away from it all, so I suspected some money as a gift but not necessarily as part of an NDA. He allegedly wanted nobody to hear of the relationship and had adored Phil and he currently works for Gordon Ramsay productions so I'd thought his career was back on track.
Why this is coming out again now - it's not even been a year - is curious.
But...if addictions are involved, and there was some allusion to personal difficulties, now that's what would be considered cataclysmic. Except when it's Ant. Then it's covered over, nothing to see here.

Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:09

I was concerned when a 28 year old was trying to date my 18 year old so no, I wouldn't be impressed with a massive age gap. I am aware though, that in some gay circles, bears/leather daddies are a niche - and those gaps aren't seen as controversial by twinks/cubs. It still wouldn't stop me being concerned about my own children though.

YeahBrackie · 18/02/2024 17:11

Twonewcats · 18/02/2024 15:44

Poor Phil indeed.
Disgusted at the coverage of it. Anyone who knows for sure and are keeping quiet are vile individuals

Holly etc definitely knew all about it. He admitted to shagging in his dressing room FFS 🙄

raspberryglace · 18/02/2024 17:13

Yes but the HRT brigade will still defend their silver haired nice man no matter what evidence is presented

Nice bit of ageism there @FrancisSeaton 👏🏻

ChanelNo19EDT · 18/02/2024 17:15

I'm on hrt and I think PS groomed a vulnerable young man, dumped him, paid him off and acted like the victim of his own behaviour.

As for the claim that all the comments defending him were made by older women, really, how on earth would anybody know.

Lilacanemone · 18/02/2024 17:16

ConstitutionHill · 18/02/2024 16:24

@FrancisSeaton so all older women are gullible fools who would defend terrible behaviour just because it's from some seemingly nice bloke? Bit of a generalisation there, bit of a reach eh?

That's a really thick comment.

On those on HRT apparently. They must have all mentioned it while defending him.
Personally, like someone else has said, I have only noticed men defending him.

Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:17

Person X instructed Mishcon de Reya to seek from Phillip Schofield payment of his substantial legal costs in dealing with the media to protect his privacy, for extended therapy, compensation for the loss of his job and home, and other financial losses suffered as a consequence of the media coverage of their relationship.
‘This was incorporated in an agreement which included a mutual non-disclosure provision.

Poor Phil being a Shamefuck. Runner doesn't want anyone to know he's shagged him either!
All that could have been done last year. It depends on when he gave those instructions. I think Phil said he'd provided a lawyer/was paying his costs but never mentioned compensation. Why the runner lost their home is an interesting one. You can argue addictions or breakdown - definitely unfair dismissal - or you could say scorned lover/shakedown.

Twonewcats · 18/02/2024 17:19

Exactly.
But worse than that - he was sniffing around him at 12yo, then gave him a private tour and screentime and then a job.
And then "waited" until he was older before having sex with him. Because obv being attracted to an underage boy but waiting until he's on the side of the law is not at all sinister or vile.

What makes me very angry is that everyone knew what was happening at This Morning and it was all brushed under the carpet. What sort of workplace enables an older man to take advantage of some much younger and more vulnerable on the premises, and then pretends not to have known. The report on all of this was an absolute whitewash. Shame on every single person on that crew that kept their mouth shut.

Eamon Holmes did an interview, said that he and Ruth were still in touch with the young man and that he was in a very bad place.

Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:26

Is certainly an interpretation. Two faced theatre company etc
I know all the tattle.
Or you have a guest appearance, a simple refollow, work experience, a showreel, mates on the piss, things get messy. The issues there are whether the runner considered themselves gay/out, whether their presenting/acting dreams were kyboshed, whether certain drugs within the industry became accessible and how.

But why haven't E&R made official complaints to police?
It seems they complained to the bosses or similar, as they were swiftly shut down and checked out. But why not to police?

Agreed that everyone knew something seedy was happening. If a 60ish yo man brought a young teen to any other workplace, eyebrows would be raised, at least.

It all stinks, and i still can't understand how NDAs can hide things that are potentially criminal, i don't understand it

OP posts:
Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:34

I'm not sure Ruth/Amanda were concerned until it became apparent that the runner was being sidelined/moved across shows/was clearly hurting emotionally (some outburst post awards show?). Until then, you had a partner who was also acting as a Personal Assistant, in a covert but in plain sight gay relationship. Wouldn't be the first or last time that two colleagues in the work place have copped off with each other - many will have thought it was none of their business, especially if Phil's wife was possibly turning a blind eye.

Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:38

Oh and if it was a mutual NDA - they've both signed it - then it had to have taken place after Phil's interview with the Beeb or he's already broken it.

Dostadning · 18/02/2024 17:46

Ah! Lightbulb!
It's coming out now because This Morning have two new presenters. D'oh!
It isn't that he lied last Whitsun although he may have downplayed much of it the NDA wasn't in place then but he paid for the lawyers his runner spoke with/instructed. This is old news, reported last year. The new part is the NDA they both signed and the compo.

Phillip Schofield's generous 'gift to ex-boyfriend that came back to bite him' - Edinburgh Live

Aquarius1234 · 18/02/2024 17:59

PS came across very desperate if the best he could get was a 17/ 18 year old work experience boy who still looked 15 and not exactly model material.
I imagine other gay celebs were laughing at him.

Aquarius1234 · 18/02/2024 18:01

I also think This Morning should be axed.

Multicolouredwebs · 18/02/2024 18:32

He paid him 30K a month to keep quiet, everyone on this morning, ITV and Channel 4 knew, everyone!
