Genie grants you 3 wishes......

So your imaginary genie grants you 3 wishes that are personal to you.

As much as we all want to win the lottery or get world peace these wishes are to be personal for you in the particular moment.

Mine are

For my 17 year old son to get a wee part time job, applied for loads and not so much as a sniff of an interview.

For my self employed husband just to get some more jobs (trade very quiet the now).

And my daughter to get home safely from her travels.

What would be yours serious or fun?

Assuming a bit lighthearted

  1. that I was 5 inches taller
  2. my kids would eat anything I put on their plate
  3. that my decoding was done (and I didn't have to choose colours or do any of the work)

To get a promotion at work to earn a bit more money.

For DS to get the GCSE grades he wants - exams start in May.

For my suitcase to be magically packed - going away tomorrow and I HATE packing.

  1. My house to get a bit bigger overnight (just a little bit, I'm not looking for a lot more to clean)

Nice little bungalow for my mum (way too expensive here for her)

About 6 feet added to the rear of my house and a utility room

Holidays where you just rock up at the airport, get in the plane, and go. None of this hanging around for hours shit

For my son's cancer to be cured

To be able to find a house to rent so we won't be evicted

For my daughter to be able to see her potential

Sorry things are so tough @Downtoyou. Mine would be:

  1. Magical cure to be found for DDs disability.
  2. DD to make 1 or 2 really close friends who prioritise her as much as she does them and whom she could spend time with and go away with.
  3. Me to go back 20 years and develop a love for healthy food and exercise that prevents me from being overweight for 20 years.

To loose weight instantly and never put it on again no matter how much I eat.

For at least one of my kids to be interested in taking driving lessons.

This years summer to be lovely and sunny without going over 29c

I'm estranged from my parents - they are currently together but united in their unhappiness but it's everyone else's fault that they are unhappy 😔

My sons blood tests come back fine and I've worried my self stupid for nothing

My brother in law to come back after a 7 week battle with cancer that could of been completely avoided (nhs)

To remember what happiness is and not live in complete and utter trauma for the last 6 months

  1. A fully remote job so that I could work from anywhere in the world and follow DP on some of his travels without the hassle of annual leave etc
  1. For all my children to have a place of their own to live: permanent, affordable housing, close to work and amenities.
  1. That whatever the health issues I have will prove to be fixable.

That my sons are both happy and healthy

That someone who has been spiteful to me over many years gets their comeuppance

That I could afford to live somewhere nicer and have all the family round for a big party

That finally the damp issue in our house is identified and sorted (yes, just in one wish)

That my mum is able to return to her flat after her broken hip instead of moving.

That DD learns to navigate in our society as a ASD person and not worries over everything all the time.

All of this wil automatically decrease my stress level.
