Genie grants you 3 wishes......

So your imaginary genie grants you 3 wishes that are personal to you.

As much as we all want to win the lottery or get world peace these wishes are to be personal for you in the particular moment.

Mine are

For my 17 year old son to get a wee part time job, applied for loads and not so much as a sniff of an interview.

For my self employed husband just to get some more jobs (trade very quiet the now).

And my daughter to get home safely from her travels.

What would be yours serious or fun?

1. my children live long happy healthy lives

2. that I'm never tired

3. nothing ever breaks - washing machine, the roof etc

For my family to enjoy better health than they do.

For my family to be happy.

To manage until the genie appears.

1. DS no longer has coeliac disease (this would be his wish).
2. I will always have enough money and don’t need to think about it (I don’t need to be rich or have some sort of fancy lifestyle; I just want there to always be enough money in my account).
3. STBXH somehow turns into a decent human and behaves sensibly.

I always think of the W W Jacobs short story 'The Monkey's Paw' whenever 3 wishes are to be granted, and that there is always a price to pay! However, my three:

That I could ditch the autism which has blighted my entire life and impacted on education, employment, personal relationships and friendships..

That I will finish the renovation of my cottage and actually get to enjoy living in it for a while before old age means that I have to relinquish it for logistic and practical reasons...

And, more immediately, that my kitchen wouldn't flood every time we have heavy rainfall - it has happened again overnight!

For ds to live a very long happy,healthy life

That I could eat anything I wanted and stayed a size 10

To get a part time job that paid £100k a year working tues-thurs
10-2

that my DS finds a job and purpose in life

that I could earn enough to live in central London

that I could learn to style my hair in a way that looks and feels elegant 😆

For someone to deliver several tonnes of landscaping soil (free of charge) so I can plant things in our very stony field.

For my dog to be 10 years younger.

For someone else to empty the dishwasher and refill it again.

1. A robust form of PR replaces fptp in the UK

Apologies for the crazy spacing and having everything as 1.

That I would have lifelong good health
That I would always have a good relationship with my child
That I could have a fulfilling job

Assuming the genie can’t bring people back to life:-
for my intrusive thoughts to shut the fuck up
for DC1 to be able to attend school regularly
for the house to tidy itself but so I can still find things

1, my ds and dd conditions would disappear
2, I'd love a dishwasher!
3, that I could eat unlimited cake, cheese and crisps and never gain a pound!

1. World peace
2. For men to have the same attitude and drive for sex that women do = no more sex crimes.
3. To know the meaning of life and what happens after you die.
