I'm very near the sea on holiday. The kids and DH in arw in bed and the is sea within walking distance, I can hear it. Would you go down there? To see it, walk along it now or should I stay home? I really want to but unsure

No.

Tatonka · 17/02/2024 22:45

Yes

coatonthewashingline · 17/02/2024 22:45

Depends. Yes quite possibly but depends on the place. Actually def to go and see it - not so sure about walking along.

Mangledrake · 17/02/2024 22:46

Probably

Bring your phone

Unless you know of any particular dangers, I would

allgrownupnow · 17/02/2024 22:47

Probably.
Where are you?? Are there other people around?

SnarkMode · 17/02/2024 22:48

It depends what you mean by "seafront".

Along the shore away from the water, yes. Close to the water's edge/ in the water? No. Especially if everyone is asleep and nobody would know where I was if anything happened.

Wolfpa · 17/02/2024 22:48

I would go but take your phone, and leave a message for where you are going

elizabethdraper · 17/02/2024 22:49

Yes, do it all the time

Jeannie88 · 17/02/2024 22:49

Yes, leave note on table and have phone with you. X

ElsaMars · 17/02/2024 22:49

It's a campsite right on the beach, sea is raging but I'm sure if i stay back. DH got up and went for a walk at 6.20 this am so I'm thinking I'd there a difference? Maybe gender but sod it??

No :(

bellabelly · 17/02/2024 22:50

Yes but do leave a note for your DH in case he wakes up and is worried! The sea at night is beautiful, enjoy your wandering.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 17/02/2024 22:50

Yes and it would be bloody marvellous.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 17/02/2024 22:50

In some places, yes, but there are also places I definitely wouldn’t.

Lifeinlists · 17/02/2024 22:50

Are you going to tell your DH that you're going? If not, no. Would you normally randomly go wandering at this time at home?

InsidiousRasperry · 17/02/2024 22:50

It depends where you are? I would in my tiny highland village on the coast but I wouldn’t in Bournemouth.

Newhere5 · 17/02/2024 22:51

No

Sasqwatch · 17/02/2024 22:53

No don’t do it.

Kerantli · 17/02/2024 22:54

If I could, I would!

Gobolina · 17/02/2024 22:54

Depends where.

Where I live now? Yes I definitely would. Shithole run down UK seaside town where some crackhead cunt would try to mug me? No, I wouldn't.

SnapdragonToadflax · 17/02/2024 22:54

It depends where you are. But if it feels safe and you stay away from the actual sea, yes I probably would. It'll be fantastic!

CountFucula · 17/02/2024 22:55

Yes of course!

FabFebHalfTerm · 17/02/2024 22:57

When I lived in NZ, absolutely.

Nice campsite here, yes.

Entertainment on site attracting a lot of drinkers, no.

Darkenergy · 17/02/2024 22:58

Yes, I wouldn't hesitate.

PiggieWig · 17/02/2024 22:59

Yes. Depends on location but if you are just going for a paddle you’ll be ok. Like PP said, if there is a risk because the area’s generally dodgy, then take that into account but if it’s a generally safe area, don’t let the water put you off. Ankles deep is fine.
