How to look as amazing as Pippa Middleton in a bikini?!?

Not a goady thread just genuinely want to know how to look as toned and in such good shape. Am the same age as Pippa. Just saw some photos of her on the DM (don’t judge) and she looks absolutely fantastic. Healthy but so fit. I would not look so good in a bikini. What do I need to do?!?

She and her sister have lean, toned physiques and they probably work out on top of that . She is very sporty as far as I know. I have friends that eat worse than me and are leaner. It’s genes and sport together.

I’m not going to look at photos in the Mail, but every time I’ve seen Pippa she looks like someone who loves sport.

The negative comments from some about her figure take me right back to teenage years. Apparently it’s still acceptable to some people to judge people for things that can only be changed by plastic surgery (chest) or not at all (bone structure.) I thought we were over the “real women have curves” crap.

The comments on her husband’s skin tone too: should he have got a spray tan so as not to offend your eyes?

Louder for the back.

💯

BadSkiingMum · 18/02/2024 08:11

Regarding all the comments that she must be almost entirely focused on looking good, I remember reading that she had done a masters degree since having her first child. It was in Physical Education and she did her dissertation on how parents can encourage their children to be active.

I am not a particular fan of Pippa or otherwise, but assuming that someone is obsessed by and wholly occupied by their looks is just another way of diminishing women.

Bigdoglittlecat · 18/02/2024 08:23

@EasternStandard i disagree about the genes - if you’re short and short, broad limbs, naturally ‘footballer’ legs, or the opposite (narrow slopey shoulders), all the workouts in the world won’t make you look like Pippa. I’ve been a PT for over 20 years, and even people with incredible discipline and workout ethic and diets can’t change genetics.
No doubt you can make huge improvements but you can’t change your body type. She is long and lean (ecto / mesomorph) so it’s far easier for her than a 5 ft 1 lady with a higher % of body fat.

43ontherocksporfavor · 18/02/2024 08:32

That’s what I meant, it’s in her genes.

Bunnycat101 · 18/02/2024 08:32

She’s always been sporty so good on her- I thought she looked great when I saw the pictures. I think there will always be a different sort of pressure on people in the public eye which will add an extra bit of motivation. Most celebs aren’t doing a 40 hour sedentary job behind a desk which will help with fitting in exercise but i do believe there will be a strong discipline around food in those circles. Genetics will be helping too.

Sunnysideup999 · 18/02/2024 08:34

She looks sporty and like she takes good care of herself.
refreshing to see - unlike all the love islanders/ influencer types with their fake teeth and boob jobs.
It’s a body that is looked after to move well - rather than look good in a bikini

MissTrip82 · 18/02/2024 09:09

She looks strong and healthy. Good on her. It takes discipline. There are lots of things that are easier if you’re rich, but just having discipline isn’t one of them.

Some of the comments on her figure because it’s athletic…….fuck the blatant misogyny is insane.

shielder · 18/02/2024 09:35

I agree about shape & body types. I struggle to build muscle for example. I don’t think she’s long & lean though, she has a long torso & shorter limbs. I’m 5ft 10 & lanky with a short body so will never have a torso like hers.

TubeScreamer · 18/02/2024 09:43

Don’t try and be someone else (or the public/social media image they present to the world). Just be yourself and embrace who you are.

FluffyFanny · 18/02/2024 09:44

Natural athletic body type enhanced by lots of exercise and a good diet.

I disagree about it being because she's rich- anyone can exercise and eat healthily if they want to. You can't change genetic body type- but all body types will be better for exercise and good food.

Itsbeginingtolookalotlikexmas · 18/02/2024 09:46

My sister always looks amazing. I remember asking her once what her secret was. She said you just have to really care.
I think I’m happy not caring.

MikeRafone · 18/02/2024 09:50

I wouldn't envy her figure because it's not very feminine IMO.

considering pippa was known for her feminine bum after her sisters wedding - I’d have to disagree with your opinion. Pippa has a feminine figure but little fat and high muscle %

NecessaryNC24 · 18/02/2024 09:50

Had a look at the pics, she's very straight up and down, I like having more of a more defined waist.

<runs away 🏃‍♀️>

Devastatedandblindsided · 18/02/2024 07:23

What is your workout routine if you don’t mind me asking!?

I'm a huge fan of Caroline Girvan (especially EPIC Heat) for weights and Growingannanas for HIIT/cardio.

Plus planks. Lots of planks. I've been doing the Bowflex 3-minute plank every day for many years.

Not forgetting push-ups and wall sits...

MintTwirl · 18/02/2024 10:18

I think she naturally has an athletic figure and the sport that she enjoys helps to maintain it. Obviously it helps to have money and time just like money and time help in other areas of life.

I disagree that anyone could look like that. I’m 5ft with an hourglass shape(wide hips, 34GG breasts) I would look ill rather than healthy if I tried to look like Pippa.

shielder · 18/02/2024 10:36

considering pippa was known for her feminine bum after her sisters wedding

But you can see her bum in the bikini? She had a great bridesmaid dress & spent a lot of time bending over 😆

kkloo · 18/02/2024 10:36

Gophering · 18/02/2024 07:34

I don’t understand all these posts saying she can only look like that due to working out obsessively or not eating etc. I have a similar figure and although I do exercise it’s not an obsessive amount and I eat normally. I’m also older. I don’t think I look amazing in a bikini but not dissimilar to Pippa. She just looks normal doesn’t she?

These misconceptions are always spread around and I think that they're so harmful.

For a start, a huge amount of people with objectively good bodies or gym bodies don't work out excessively at all.
They'll do their few sessions in the gym a week and that's it.

Or for me I do pole fitness and a lot of the women would only do a couple of classes a week because a lot don't have a pole at home. They still get nice and toned, there's nothing excessive about the amount of training and it's very enjoyable too.

Also with the food, since I was a kid I've been hearing that all skinny or slim women eat is lettuce. But plenty of slim people eat enough and don't have a ridiculously strict diet, they often just have a good balance.

It's very unhealthy for teenagers or young women to hear the message that if you want to be slim or stay slim then you have exercise excessively and barely eat anything, because then some of them will take that approach if they do want to watch their weight or lose a little bit.

People forgot that cameras add pounds, most “celebrities” are much smaller in real life. I used to model & the vast majority didn’t eat

KirstenBlest · 18/02/2024 10:44

Some women go running because they enjoy it.
Working out gives you a buzz.
Doing weights gives you a warm feeling inside your muscles.

I've never done any exercise to try to look physically attractive.
Admittedly I don't look like Pippa, but I have a different physique.

No amount of money, dieting or training could make me look like her.

It's not as simple as anybody can exercise and eat healthily if they want to.

It's expensive to eat healthily, especially if you have a whole family to feed. Not many forms of exercise are without cost but more importantly you need the time to indulge in them. If you're working, looking after kids and perhaps other caring responsibilities, it's understandable if all you have the energy for come 9pm is collapse on the sofa. Or maybe you do have the energy but you can't go out running or to the gym because you're a single parent with no childcare support.

People like Pippa Middleton don't have normal lives. They have time and resources and money.

  1. it’s no more expensive to eat healthily than it is to eat unhealthily. It’s about choices. Oats are cheaper than sugary cereals, an apple is cheaper than a chocolate bar, etc.
  2. Running is a cost free exercise available to most. There are also thousands of workouts on YouTube if childcare is an issue - you can do 20 minutes while children are asleep/not yet awake.

Barring some disabilities and certain health conditions, absolutely anyone can get fit and healthy with discipline.

Exercise and healthy food may not 'free', but neither do you need to be 'rich' in the sense that the Middletons are. Basic vegetables, pulses, wholegrain rice etc. are staples and not exclusive foods available only to the rich.

There are plenty of women who look like Pippa Middleton who are not rich- anyone who exercises a lot- running, swimming, lifting weights and eats a normal healthy diet is able cultivate a healthy lean figure and muscle. Most people just don't have the motivation- I know a handful of women like Pippa- they are not rich- just ordinary working women- teachers with young children, office worker, and one who gave up her day job because she got so much into fitness that she set up her own bootcamp business.

KirstenBlest · 18/02/2024 12:10

I hardly ever eat rubbish food. It's too expensive.
Walking is free.

KevinDeBrioche · 18/02/2024 12:12

This thread is mad. Inter generational wealth?!! She looks like a completely normal healthy woman.
