Everything is just for a short time

Sidebeforeself · 14/02/2024 21:55

Do the right thing

and the second is one I heard on here the other day - “ You have a choice. Are you going to make someone feel better today or worse?”

AuntieMarys · 14/02/2024 12:33

Don't die before you're dead

Love this one

Tlolljs · 14/02/2024 22:00

Never eat anything bigger than your own head.

Kemblefordsnice · 14/02/2024 22:01

Does it bring you joy?

Quizine · 14/02/2024 22:03

Moveoverdarlin · 14/02/2024 18:46

Ahhh fuck it, that’ll do.

OMG I could hear myself there. That's what I always say when doing something that is about to defeat me. (Usually decluttering or cleaning something).

Great minds think alike (and fools seldom differ). lol.

Justleaveitblankthen · 14/02/2024 22:09

Will it matter in 5 years from now?
Well it doesn't matter now.

TrumpetOfTheMatriarchy The older I get, the more the lyrics to that song make so much sense.

Awww....so true. I feel like you and I have kindred spirits :-).

MrsDrDear · 14/02/2024 22:14

Never go back, only go forward.

LaPalmaLlama · 14/02/2024 22:15

The past is for reference, not residence

rooftopbird · 14/02/2024 22:17

There's no point worrying about things you can't control.

paleontologist · 14/02/2024 22:28

Xiaoxiong · 14/02/2024 14:01

If you can't get out of it, get into it.

This too shall pass.

80/20 rule applies to all things.

Was gonna say, "This too shall pass" as well.

Greentangerines · 14/02/2024 22:29

Worry, worry, dead.

MrsFriskers · 14/02/2024 22:32

Never go back

Itsmyhilltodieon · 14/02/2024 22:51

Several - and they are very outing hence a name change for this!

"Eat the damn cake"

"If you never say no then what is your yes worth?"

"You need to be a friend to have a friend."

"Chuck it in the fuck it bucket and move on."

"Will you still be worrying about this a year from now, is anybody going to die?
If the answer to both is no, then it's not worth worrying about now."

Lucylou07 · 14/02/2024 22:54

Wellbeing first

CarrieMoonbeams · 14/02/2024 23:16

It's better to spend money like there's no tomorrow than to spend today like there's no money.

Don't count the days, make the days count.

ohdeerohdear · 14/02/2024 23:18

You don't get, if you don't ask.

Aparecium · 14/02/2024 23:19

Life is to be enjoyed, not endured.

everywhichway · 14/02/2024 23:19

Cherish the small things in life. One day you'll realise they were the big things.

Punxsatawnyphil · 14/02/2024 23:21

Don't worry, be happy.

Worrying is such a pointless pastime, you can't control other people's actions or thoughts. You do you and crack on, if something goes wrong, you'll deal with it then, until then, enjoy yourself.

TiredMummma · 14/02/2024 23:22

Never regret what you've done, as at least you tried to do it.

Papergirl1968 · 14/02/2024 23:22

My menopausal manager wears smart shorts to work in the summer and says “if they don’t like my stumpy legs they don’t have to look.”
I love her attitude.

JustMaggie · 15/02/2024 07:42

I follow the Dory mantra "Just keep swimming"

ZeusandClio · 15/02/2024 08:37

We have more in common than that which divides us.

Someone else's broken leg doesn't stop your stubbed toe from hurting.
