Busy Mum of 2, DD 6 and DS 3 months. Live with partner (kids Dad).

Mine is everyone is fed, no one's dead. Gets me through on the daily.
What's your life motto?

Just for fun x

Better the day, Better the deed!...just wish I'd follow this motto more often.🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣

titbumwillypoo · 14/02/2024 13:52

Nothing's so broke, that it can't be fixed.

cardibach · 14/02/2024 13:54

Growing older is compulsory - growing up is not.
Oh, and ‘we can get better because we’re not dead yet’ courtesy of Frank Turner.

ColdButSunny · 14/02/2024 13:56

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Komencanto · 14/02/2024 13:58

Everything is figureoutable

TheLonelyStarbucksLovers · 14/02/2024 13:59

“Do your best, and fuck the rest”

Helps me with my perfectionist and anxiety tendencies. Yes, put in an effort and do things to the best of your ability, but also know when something’s good enough and/or out of your control.

Xiaoxiong · 14/02/2024 14:01

If you can't get out of it, get into it.

This too shall pass.

80/20 rule applies to all things.

mylifeisprettygood · 14/02/2024 14:02

To the kids, regularly " we don't hold grudges in this house".

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 14/02/2024 13:03

An immaculate house is the sign of a wasted life

There's my future excuse!

Keep trying. Failure is not trying.

Mysa74 · 14/02/2024 18:44

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Dr Seuss

Moveoverdarlin · 14/02/2024 18:46

Ahhh fuck it, that’ll do.

LeSoleil · 14/02/2024 18:47

Dream, but don't sleep.

From Angel

”in the grand scheme of things nothing we do matters, so the only thing that matters - is what we do.”

Skethylita · 14/02/2024 18:51

If it doesn't harm anyone, do what you will.

PutItInTheFuckitBucketAndGetOnWithYourDay · 14/02/2024 18:51

My user name 🤣

CurlewKate · 14/02/2024 18:54

Or family one was "Don't be a dingbat"

Covered most things!

Purpleavocado · 14/02/2024 18:55

54321 - to get going
It's non negotiable - for maintaining good habits
I also say 'put it in the fuckit bucket' from time to time
Not my circus not my monkeys - I first saw this on MN, now DH and I say it all the time, mainly about his defunctional family

Icantfindmy · 14/02/2024 18:57

JFDI

Applies equally to significant career changes and doing the vacuuming.

NannyGythaOgg · 14/02/2024 20:50

Your (or anyone's) opinion of me is none of my business

The regrets I have are about the ooportunities I didn't take rather than the mistakes I mad

'Di one thing every day that scares you' (Baz Luhrman)

It's actually a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt many years ago.

Quitelikeit · 14/02/2024 21:17

Focus on what you can change and not what you can’t

if nothing changes then nothing changes

keep on keeping on - never give up

Headphonehair · 14/02/2024 21:23

It is what it is

notprincehamlet · 14/02/2024 21:31

You must go on. I can’t go on. I’ll go on.
Although (since we're talking Beckett) I like the idea of:
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

LaMadameCholet · 14/02/2024 21:43

Work hard and try not to be a dickhead
