Did you get/want anything 'special' for your 30th birthday?

I'll be turning 30 in 3 weeks
DP has asked me what I want and so has my mum.

Mum has asked if I'd like a piece of jewellery as that's been what I've had before for big birthdays (16/18/21) but I don't wear jewellery anymore since having ds so I'm not sure. I hate money being wasted

Any inspiration from your 30th gifts?

It was during covid so did nothing and I was devastated as I love parties and being with friends.
I also had a 4 week old so wouldn't have been able to do much anyway.
I was quite into houseplants at the time. My DH got me 3 new ones (that he knew nothing about) from the local garden centre. I told him that having just had a baby, the last thing I needed was 3 other things to keep alive! They weren't even easy to look after. Fun times.
I'm hoping to have a party for my 35th instead!
My mum got me a new hairdryer because mine had broken after 10 years. I've barely used it as with 2 kids now I don't have time to dry my hair 🤣

I went on a spa trip with some friends that some family paid towards.

Nothing special, but I've always appreciated gift cards and certificates, so maybe a SPA center or a nail salong certificate or something like that? Depends on your wishes of course, but it might be a nice experience to try this stuff out if you've never had before.
How about something related to your hobbies? I've got a Photoglory license for my cousin who developed interest in genealogy and was collecting old family photos, and she loved it. Is there something that you may need or want or just a hobby of yours that could give your family and friends ideas?
