Celebrities you love and why….

Off the back of the thread about celebs we don’t like……who do we love and why?
For me it’s :
Dolly Parton - beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Kind, generous and humble, always self-deprecating and does so much for charitable causes. Love her sense of humour and her music too (cry every time I hear Coat of Many Colours)

Denzel Washington- I want to marry him

I love Dolly Parton too 😊
David Attenborough - he's tirelessly worked for decades, to inform and inspire us, especially re climate change.
Chris Packham - an animal lover, and very affable.
Diane Morgan (Philomena Cunk) Just so darn funny! Puts misogynistic notions that women can't be funny, in their proper place!

I only named two, and I actually doubt they use MN. But, even so, I feel a bit yucky about it, as I normally only try to say positive things about others. I like this thread better. Thank you for starting it.

Ok, struggling here, I'm obviously feeling mean spirited this morning.

Nice thread. Agree with many of these posted already.
Dwayne Johnson, Kirstie Allsopp, Stacey Solomon. I think I like them partly because they’re not ‘my type of people’ as such but they all just seem lovely.
Oh and Keanu, we all love Keanu.

Agree with you about Dolly, she's so pure.

I also quite like Florence Pugh, she seems fun, and I envy her confidence. She just seems to radiate good vibes.

Keanu Reeves is a golden retriever in human form and I adore him.

I have met Gordon Ramsay and despite his TV persona he's absolutely lovely, kind, actually listens to you when you talk, and funny.

Watching Saturday Kitchen just now and really liking Big Zuu. I haven't listened to his music as rap isn't my thing but he's coming across as really funny and an all round decent guy.

I feel similarly about Stormzy, can't stand his music but he seems like a really good bloke.

Rob Bryden. I find something very sad about him and want to give him a cuddle.

I love Florence Pugh. Her instagram is so down to earth compared to the other A listers. Random stuff of her doing face masks, pulling faces, dancing in the kitchen when she cooks etc. I find it oddly watchable and refreshing.

Also really like Andrew Scott.

And find Hugh Grant very funny in interviews.

Some of the others mentioned here 🤔 Johnny Depp "lovely"? Phil and Kirstie - insufferable snobs who have both made tasteless comments showing they know nothing about what it's like to not have much money. No self awareness.

I like more people on TV than i dislike I think but Pierce Brosnan, Taylor Swift, Keanu Reeves and J K Rowling are some of my favorites.

Stormzy always comes across as incredibly down to earth. He's unlike his fellow rap peers in that he has openly said he couldn't care less about designer clothes, jewellery etc and he's not flashy about his wealth. There's a video of him being super excited to meet Taylor Swift too, I don't think he thinks of himself as a celeb.

Paul Weller is another one for me.

David Tennant. Ya, boo, sucks to all the haters! So cool in Good Omens and the best Dr, bar none.

I love Ricky Gervais. 1) he really makes me laugh & 2) he loves animals & pushes animal welfare loads & 3) doesn’t indulge the easy offended.

Jason Manford.
He does loads and loads for charity ..very down to earth.
( There was a thread purely on him.. where people couldn't stand him). But l had a friend who's child was very very ill.. Jason set up his Ninja fund page for him.. went to visit him and did all kinds of kind things.. and my friends child is one of my hundreds.

Agree with Ricky Gervais for the reasons given.
Ian Botham for what he has done for leukaemia research.
Jermaine Defoe for how he was with little Bradley Lowery.
Jack Grealish after seeing him with the little deaf girl who the other footballers and officials ignored.

Jessica Hynes for her amazing performance as an SEN mum in There She Goes. Plus watched her in an episode of the series that Sandi Togsvik did about holidays in the Uk and she seems really nice .

Rylan - he comes across as down to earth and I was surprised when he admitted to cheating on his husband, but admired him for being honest about it.
Peter Andre - he is cheesy but seems a decent person

Alison Hammond..refreshing, hilarious love her banter and that laugh I want to be her friend

Nadia Sawalha..down to earth, no airs or graves, love her humour, love seeing her at home on her channel so funny

Davina McCall..beautiful woman, kind always laughing, smiling just love her

Jack Grealish..from what I've seen he is a very kind thoughtful person with a big heart I've seen many videos of him being the only one to go over to his young fans..heartwarming melts my heart

Any and Dec..just love them

Always loved Paul O'Grady kind funny hilarious quick witted humour and an enormous heart of gold..the way he was with animals made me adore him..RIP Paul
