Off the back of the thread about celebs we don’t like……who do we love and why?
For me it’s :
Dolly Parton - beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Kind, generous and humble, always self-deprecating and does so much for charitable causes. Love her sense of humour and her music too (cry every time I hear Coat of Many Colours)

Denzel Washington- I want to marry him

Phil from Phil and Kristie is a big game hunter so he's dreadful in my eyes.

Rylan, Jane Garvey, Stormzy and Claudia Winkleman. What a dinner party!

I love Dolly - she’s refreshingly wonderful .. I love that she doesn’t take herself too seriously .. I was watching her documentary where she was asked how she feels about being labelled a “stupid blonde” and she just laughed and said I don’t care because I’m not stupid and I know I’m definitely not blonde 🤣

Chris Packham - I love that he’s prepared to put up with so much to fight for wildlife

Keanu Reeves .. because he’s a saint among men

Miranda Hart just because !

All the cast of BBC Ghosts, they come across as being really good friends with each other.

david baddiel - bright and outspoken
Gary lineker - outspoken and principled
lee Mack - hilarious

Mads Mikkelsen - possibly the most famous face in his country (Denmark) yet always seems completely down to earth and doesn't think he's any better than the rest of us

Agree on all of those. Hugh Grant has really grown into his career!

OMG yes, I'm old enough to remember her from Playschool, she's lovely.

Hugh Grant. Love him. A relative knew him quite well back when he first became famous. He's actually a very talented actor because he's as far from being an affable buffoon (as he mostly portrayed in films) as you can get. Most people forget he's highly intelligent and very well educated, and he doesn't suffer fools gladly. And why should he?

Martin Clunes. Because of his love for horses and work with animals.

Lewis Capaldi, I love his sense of humour and he just seems like great fun. I hope he's doing better these days.
Paul Rudd, just seems like an all round lovely man.
Ricky Gervais for reasons previously mentioned.
Margot Robbie because she just seems like a beautiful person inside out.
Daisy May Cooper because she is hilarious.

I only met Floella very briefly, but she was super kind and charming and just had so much energy. She definitely is one to love.

I’m sure I’ve said this before on here but Emma Thompson-I just think she’d be a great friend and takes no crap.
Johnny Marr. Properly cool, unpretentious, respected hugely by his peers- just a real musical legend. And he told Trump not to use The Smiths music recently. Love him.
And of course, everything already said about Dolly.

Yes we must protect Dave Grohl at all costs! And he talks about how he loves Rick Astley, Oasis and ABBA 😊. The Foos took on a homophobic religious group by playing disco songs at them 😂😂😂
Louis Theroux - definitely agree with PP, national treasure status now, surely.
Gary Neville seems decent, lots of good work in Manchester during lockdown, and was so funny talking about David Beckham in that Netflix show. Sweetly ribbing him for his Hollywood lifestyle. Just talks sense.

In fact I think Louis made a documentary about the same homophobic religious group that Dave and the Foos took on 😂

Harry Styles seems a nice guy and very charismatic.
