I don’t like David Tennant, can’t put my finger on why he just seems a bit creepy. I’m sure he’s not I just don’t like him.

Omg, I forgot Nicole Kidman. Great in the weather girl movie tbf, but everything else is mostly a passive, bland “look at me, I’m so attractive”. But she’s not a good actress IMHO. Didn’t she marry an influential producer? (just saying). And now she’s had all the bloody work on her face, ridiculous, so her face doesn’t even bloody move eg in Big Little Lies.

We're discussing Nicole's face in the thread on 'Expats', a series where she's playing the same character she seems to have been playing for a while now. She used to be a decent actress but she's been phoning it in for years. I honestly think she doesn't care anymore so long as the cheques clear. And it's just hard to take her seriously with that face!

@kerstina imo Ben fogle is harmless. I wouldn’t choose to watch him, and I can’t remember how he got “famous”, but I think he’s a genuine person.

He was on one of the original reality shows called Castaway .He was lovely on that too.

@IcedPurple In Big Little Lies she was outclassed. Reese Witherspoon was a revelation, Laura Drrn acted her socks off, Sharlene Woolley subtly excellent, others too, and in fact all the acting was brilliant. But Kidman was a weak link for most of it, don’t know why. Maybe her character was a difficult one to portray but tbh I’ve never been drawn to her as an actress or the kinds of films she makes (always a passive wan kind of pre- raphaelite type of beauty in dreary films?).

Yes, people were praising her performance in 'Big Little Lies' but I didn't find her convincing. It didn't help that the role was written for a woman at least 10 years younger. But Nicole was a producer so basically cast herself!

Taylor Swift and I genuinely don't know why I don't like her. She's never done anything to offend me and although her music isn't my thing, it's okay and I'll listen to it, if it's on, but there's just something about her that irritates me.
She'd probably think the same about me though to be fair.

I think she comes off as cold, waspish, brittle, takes herself too seriously, overly pleased with herself. She always calls to mind like a middle-school suburban harpy.

Oh God, yes, Caitlin Moran! Hate that I’m so mad me act and how working class and down to earth I am. And what a wonderful, liberal parent too. And how people fall over her words as if she’s saying something profound and original when she sounds like a female pub bore. I suppose it’s hard to stay inventive and relevant for 20 years. Amanda Holden definitely. I like Lady GaGa though-she is the real deal.

Also when in mid 20s/mid 30s where I worked (Baker Street) and Kensington High Street you’d see loads of celebs but they were never rude, just strolling down Marylebone High Street or in McDs Kensington High Street or in The Social bar or Jerusalem bar having fun. Half of us didn’t even clock they were in those bars. You did sometimes see someone who looked full of themselves, Lily Allen on Marylebone High Street once, but we never bothered about that. Have seen Tracey Emin drunk in the Golden Heart pub in Spitalfields as it’s her local but again nothing to do with us and not rude to us!

The ones who are known for being rude well they’re known for that in the industry too but people who work with them either bitch about them or they have hangers on. In my 30s my best mate met Katie Price in a gay pub on London Road and said she was lovely and quiet, about 15-20 years ago.

One person who’s a very z list celeb is Gemma Collins. I used to bump into some of the Towie crowd in bars in Romford and Brentwood as I had a friend who was keen on those bars and liked it there. The GC as she’s known, pushed past me really rudely in the Romford bar, in a packed area, because she’s tall and big, it hurt and she trod hard on my foot with her heel. No apology, just a hard nosed stare even after I loudly said owww! Saw her in Teriss Bar in Brentwood a couple of months later and avoided her but had the same hard faced attitude and unpleasant look. She looks horrible on tv though.
