Anyone else believe in Bigfoot/Sasquatch?

Fed up of my family teasing me as I do believe Bigfoots are real, I try to watch everything I can documentary-wise on Bigfoot, I think its very interesting. I would love to live in America so that I could go proper Bigfooting😅

Dh says its all just a money making scam, no matter how many times I try to explain about the folklore and that they have been around for generations, etc, he just laughs it off.

I follow the BFRO and Dr Jeff Meldrum on social media, there is even an Alaska Bigfoot cruise now, I would LOVE to go on that😄

Anyone else fascinated by Bigfoot??

Nope, but I do believe that Neanderthals or a similar archaic humans made it to north america.

Those giant redhead corpses had to come from somewhere as there were reports of their burial mounds in many parts of the US and even some tribal folk tales about the Si-Te-Cah.

Robert Sepehr made some good youtubes on the subject but be warned it is quite the rabbit hole.

You can meet Mickey Mouse at Disneyland. Believe that if you will.

Nogodsnomasters · 06/02/2024 16:42

No but I like to believe the loch ness monster was real at some stage 🤣

I like to think they’re real, and the idea fascinates me.

Sasqwatch · 06/02/2024 16:52

Err I’ve just realised my username says it all 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

mum11970 · 06/02/2024 16:54

Nope

OldTinHat · 06/02/2024 16:55

Me! I also hoover up every documentary there is. Some of the evidence is quite compelling.

friendlyflicka · 06/02/2024 17:00

I would like to believe in big cats roaming Britain. That is my favourite mysterious creature story

usedtobeasizeten · 06/02/2024 17:04

No.

FancyJapflack · 06/02/2024 17:06

If I had to bet my house on it - no.

But I sask-watch (haha!) everything I can and I really wamt
it to be true.

Similarly Nessie, extra-terrestrial intelligence etc.

GasPanic · 06/02/2024 17:12

I believe in Bigfoot and Pyramid power.

I put a fast food burger under a pyramid once and left it for 6 months. It came out exactly the same.

If you have ever spent any time out in the wilds in North America you would realise that it is huge.

Maybe Bigfoot cannot live in California as there are too many people. But up in the North towards the Canadian border there are hardly any people and huge amounts of wild land. Think Washington, Montana and Oregan.

My theory is Bigfoot is actually Canadian and comes down south ocassionally for food, a bit like a holiday.

There are also videos of Bigfoot on youtube.

WeeOrcadian · 06/02/2024 17:14

I'm.on the fence but the idea that something that hasn't yet been discovered is real for me - we discover new species of animals all the time.

It's a possibility IMO

It's not particularly implausible as theories go.

In my opinion anyway. There is much more crazy stuff out there than that.

BigfootAficionado · 07/02/2024 07:30

The theory is that Bigfoots live in family groups and do migrate to follow the food. There is a good documentary on Prime called A Flash of Beauty: Bigfoot Revealed, I thought this is one of the better documentaries. But I do love Finding Bigfoot.

Have you listened to the Sierra Sounds? Fascinating and sends shivers down my spine to hear them "talking" to one another. I watched a programme last night that examined the sounds and says they are authentic and do not know what animal made them.

JamesPringle · 07/02/2024 07:34

Yes! And I'm glad to have found you, it isn't a common belief is it!
The Sasquatch Chronicles are quite good imo. Also ThinkerThunker on YT/FB- I like the fact that he debunks some videos and sightings, and doesn't just believe them all because he wants to believe!

I think it should be Bigfeet

Mermaidsarereal · 07/02/2024 09:06

Check out my username, if I believe mermaids are real I sure as hell believe Bigfoot is real! 😅

BananaPyjamaLlama · 07/02/2024 09:10

Its a topic Im fascinated by bigfoot, yeti, big cats in the wild in the UK, Nessie - all that kinda thing (theres a word for this phenomena and Im annoyed I cant remember it!) But I dont think they are real. Except the big cats which likely very often are escaped former pets.

Andthereyougo · 07/02/2024 09:20

I’d like to think they’re real. Something other than regular humans outwitting them for years and staying hidden.

I once saw a big cat loose in Britain. I was in a very old building, the ones where you get those waves in the glass, so not 100% clear view but good enough. I saw, about 150 metres away ,a large black animal jump over a hedge and disappear into long grass, brambles, shrubbery type cover. It was definitely not a dog, they jump differently its movements were cat-like. Far too big to be a domestic cat, it was long and I’d say in height it was the size of a cocker spaniel, maybe a bit taller. South of England in the early 90s, rural area.

BigfootAficionado · 07/02/2024 11:09

Most people think that they are an unknown primate as their behaviour is very gorilla-like, making nests to sleep in, throwing rocks and tree shaking to get people out of their territory, but people who have seen them say that they are so humanlike facially with intelligent human eyes. There are hunters who were so scared of them that they went to shoot but couldnt, the look in the eyes are so humanlike it would be murder. So I am not sure if it would be an unknown primate or more likely a far relative of humans. As they seem to have the capability of speech, this is thought to point more towards a relict hominid. I would so love for one to be found, alive of course and NOT put in a bloody zoo. Maybe we could learn to communicate with them and learn from them, that would be amazing😃

No doubt there are countless species as yet undiscovered. Unlikely that something as big would have gone unseen by more people for so long. Though if it did exist and were shy, like gorillas for example, it’s not
Impossible.

Yes there are definitely big cats in the UK. A lot of sightings are of large moggies but I have friends who have lived in mid-Wales for 40 odd years and have come almost face to face with one in the forestry behind them. They are farming people so know what a cat looks like. Another member of that family saw one in the 70s where he lived in rural South Wales too, it was in his garden!
