Tonight’s meal is sorted but always good to have new ideas.

Roast chicken with cauliflower cheese carrots and peas Blushfollowed by apple crumble and a glass of wine or two

lambburger · 28/01/2024 18:00

Tonight will be Crispy Chilli Beef from the Bored of Lunch book - not sure whether to have it with rice or noodles yet.

Yesterday was Peanut Chicken Noodles from BBC Good Food by Sarah Rossi.

Tomorrow will be sweet chilli chicken sausage pasta from a recipe by Fraser Reynolds.

Very jealous of all these lovely Sunday roasts - sadly I'm the only one in my family who likes a roast dinner so we rarely have one unless I insist & cook! Today is using up freezer food as the food delivery is delayed so chicken kievs, peas & homemade chips

FatOaf · 28/01/2024 18:16

Rice with grilled marinated lamb, Mediterranean roast vegetables and stewed peppers & mushrooms. Quite a lot of work but delicious.

Roast chicken dinner, roast chicken, roasties, honey glazed parsnips, carrots, brocolli and yorkies.

Same as this except the broc and Yorkshire. Would have loved YP but DH is the cook and he dislikes making them.

ChicagoBears · 28/01/2024 18:21

Homemade pizza’s for us. We made fresh pesto earlier so we’ll use that as our base along with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella.

Borka · 28/01/2024 18:22

Homemade butter chicken with rice and (not homemade) samosa - so good!

MrsMitford3 · 28/01/2024 18:24

Roast dinner-DS choice as moving out next weekend.
Roast beef, gravy, roasties, carrots and parsnips, cabbage greens and yorkshires.

lemon tart with raspberries and squirty cream for after.

janedani · 28/01/2024 18:25

Beef and prune stew with mashed potatoes and broccoli followed by creme brule - sort of homemade, from the Aldi baking section. Will buy again

ibe · 28/01/2024 18:26

Salmon baked in the air fryer, Mac cheese and salad.

Thedogsdindins · 28/01/2024 18:27

Make your own kebabs: everyone chooses their own combination of prawns, chorizo, corn on the cob, mushrooms, peppers and onions. Served with pitta bread and minty yoghurt. Might make some coleslaw as well.

I love this idea, and am going to steal it! (Though will change up the choices slightly).

We had a chicken curry out of the freezer from a previous batch book, with home made naans and oven chips!

cliffdiver · 28/01/2024 18:31

McDonald’s!

Not our usual Sunday dinner.

I had a quarter pounder meal with a strawberry shake and a side of nuggets.

kookit · 28/01/2024 18:31

We've just had cheesy enchiladas with chicken and my yummy homemade "sour cream" (which is literally just full fat Greek yoghurt with some salt pepper and parsley chucked in but always goes down a storm haha) and spicy rice. Stuffed now! And loads left for tomorrow to go with a salad or something.

FairyBreadQueen · 28/01/2024 18:32

Chilli and rice here. We all have covid so it needed to be something out of the freezer.

OppsUpsSide · 28/01/2024 18:32

Chicken casserole, rice and baguette, banana and date loaf for pudding

Lastminutebride · 28/01/2024 18:33

We’d normally have a roast dinner however have just made chicken and veg pie with mash for a change

tobee · 28/01/2024 18:34

Lazy roast chicken tonight. Roast chicken to stick in oven with frozen roast potatoes, microwave veggies, pre made gravy, pre made stuffing, microwave puddings and custard.

I don't do this often and like to cook everything from scratch but today I have to finish an assignment for my course and prepare for my exam tomorrow so want minimal prep and mess.

mamaduckbone · 28/01/2024 18:35

We had cottage pie, tender stem broccoli, green beans and peas, with apple pie for pudding.

cheesenpickle · 28/01/2024 18:37

Roast beef, Roast potatoes, savoy cabbage, green beans, broccoli, carrots, peas, yorkshires and gravy . Loads of horseradish sauce. DH cooked it was lovely. Cherry crumble pie with creme fraiche a bit later.

Swirlingsnowflakes · 28/01/2024 18:38

Roast chicken dinner , roast potatoes, veg, Yorkshires

UsernameTaken76 · 28/01/2024 18:40

I’ve got chorizo & white bean bake in the oven. Might serve with green salad or just on its own.

Have also made a Fragrant Chicken Noodle Soup from the new Bored of Lunch book for during the week.

Tomorrow is one pan sausage meatballs with orzo and tomato sauce.

HeadNW · 28/01/2024 18:43
