Ms BadEnoch on LK complaining about those plotting to oust Sunak. She must have a very short memory. As you say, beyond parody.

Rishi Sunak's wife's family business is in line for tens of millions of pounds in government contracts.

Infosys has now been put on an “approved list” of suppliers for public sector contracts by officials

i missed the intro and spotted nads on the panel for LK….. I can’t take anything out of that woman’s mouth seriously

LK's dislike of Starmer is so obvious.

😂 That’s priceless. It was like she was batting an irritating insect away.

LK's dislike of Starmer is so obvious.

This was clear from the trailer I saw yesterday. Showed loads of people making negative comments about Starmer and one woman saying he has integrity. What about the current PM eh?

IClaudine · 28/01/2024 11:00

Nads strikes back against Badenoch.

I stopped watching LK a while ago.
I think her editors are busy tiptoeing around Robbie Gibb.

ThatbloodyRoblox · 28/01/2024 11:04

Thank you for keeping these threads going.
Watching LK this morning and when she asked Nadine Dorries who should be PM she said Klopp. I am not sure Klopp would be PM of a Con government given his political views.
She really is the gift that keeps on giving. Grin

@Piggywaspushed I saw your new MP is standing for Hitchin. We too have a new constituency due to boundary changes. Can't see us changing colour- sadly

I struggle to believe there is no conflict of interest here.
Family of ministers shouldn't benefit from government contracts whoever they are.

Yes, indeed he is. I posted at the very end of the last thread. Could do without it tbh....

Wonder what the distraction technique will be this week? We had war last week so maybe this week will be the turn of famine or pestilence.

The smoking ban for anyone born after 2009 vote? Another possible 'rebellion', it won’t be whipped even though it is Sunak's legacy policy according to Victoria Atkins.

Austerity has contributed to a rise in the number of children in care, the most senior judge in the family courts has told the BBC.
Sir Andrew McFarlane said cuts to local authorities have left social workers with fewer options to help families.
They often lack the resources to do anything other than go to court, he told Radio 4's Today Programme.

£8,122 - annual UK state pension

£7,897 - booze bill for Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak's party to mark the moment the UK left the EU at 11pm, on January 31, 2020

They spent in one night what a state pensioner receives in a year

No wonder they wanted to keep this a secret for the last 2 years and it needed a legal battle to make it public

IClaudine · 29/01/2024 12:24

That is more than twice what the government pays a full time carer.

Meanwhile, today's Tory spokesperson looks bouncy and confident

Lewis Goodall (Newsagents podcast) had Nov 14 as the most likely date IIRC. He is pretty much usually on the money. It’s a long time to wait.

L1ttledrummergirl · 29/01/2024 14:07

What was the country doing 3/4 years ago in November? What were the tories doing?

That will go well.

Oh, very, very good point.

On November 14 2020 No. 10 were nursing hangovers while the rest of us were locked down:

13 November 2020: Farewell Cummings
Two gatherings are understood to have taken place in Downing Street on this date: one to mark the departure of a special adviser and one in the Downing Street flat.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, the gathering in the flat where Mr Johnson and his wife lived was to celebrate the departure of Dominic Cummings, the PM's former senior adviser. A spokesman for Mrs Johnson denies the party took place.

Shock although I'm not sure why it shocks me.
