Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to drink my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The girls are still asleep so it's peaceful but not quiet - the washer's spinning the towels I put in on a timer last night to be done by the time I got up. It'll be lovely once that's finished.

I've put tonight's gammon in the slow cooker already, and had a quick tidy round in the living room while the kettle boiled. That's probably it for any sort of housework today.

I'll do hot cross buns for breakfast shortly 😋 then sort a couple of Vinted parcels to post before having a walk to Lidl with dd1 to get cereal for the coming week, and icing sugar for her birthday cake.

When we get back, dd2 has maths homework she's struggling with so I'll look at that with her, then spend the afternoon crafting. She'll probably get an early shower so she can faff with her hair, and dd1 needs to continue her homework she didn't finish yesterday.

My dad's calling for a cuppa at some point so we'll see him when he does.

Gammon for tea, with roast potatoes and veg, then an early shower for me, another attempt at Murdle puzzle 40, and an early night ready for work tomorrow 💤

Morning! I’m just having a coffee after a lie in. DH is shattered after an early start with DS so he’s just chilling on the sofa. Supermarket delivery will be here soon and then we’ll cook up a late breakfast, then I need to get showered and sorted as I’m off to two kids parties today with DS. Both are the kids of good friends of mine so it should be nice! Presents are wrapped and ready to go.

DH is planning to get a roast dinner cooking while we’re out. When I’m back I need to organise uniforms, bags and prep lunches so that I can relax this evening. DH and I might watch a film.

Just had McDonalds breakfast with 15yo DS. He's off to his hobby now and will be there until around 12. I'm going to meet my mum for a coffee, go to a class at the gym and get the shopping in before the wind starts, looking a bit grim this afternoon!

Morning! Dd had us up at 5 luckily dh got up with her and let me sleep in a while longer. He's back in bed now and I'm having a coffee and watching CBeebies with her. Older dc is in his room watching tv or looking at another variation of a screen.

We will go swimming a little later then have sausage sandwiches for lunch. I need to pop to the shops for and few bits and then we might have a walk to the local football match later this afternoon. We'll have our Sunday roast about 5pm and then I'll get all of the school and work stuff ready for next week. Once dd is in bed ds and I will watch tv together and when he's in bed I may get an hour to myself (if I'm lucky) to read and have a bath before bed. Happy Sunday everyone.

Morning lucysmam & everyone. In bed having had a cuppa but about to get up. Will go to Tescos if I can be bothered! Not much planned today. I might dust our room as I keep waking up with a blocked nose & a bit of a cough. It hasn’t been done for ages to my shame. Probably ham & cheese omelettes made by DH for tea with a few chips. Watching Call The Midwife this evening.

I'm in bed with the dog. DH has gone to meet a friend for coffee. I'm going to do some washing and read the papers today. Get some sweets for DS2 to take to school tomorrow for his birthday. Steaks for tea.

Good morning everyone. We’re having our usual weekend morning slow start. Just me, dh and dd9 awake at the moment. I’ve stripped both beds and put the covers on to wash and I’m now back on the couch with a cup of tea. I might make some bacon sandwiches in a bit.

I need to take dd9 to the retail park today to buy a birthday present for her friend and drop that off. Then this afternoon we’re off to visit BIL and his girlfriend and meet our new little niece who was born on the 9th. I’m excited for tiny baby cuddles!

Back home for an early ish tea of sausage and mash for dh and the girls and a stir fry for me (we were meant to have that last night but ended up ordering a curry). Dd19 is then working 6pm - 12am and the rest of us will just be doing the usual Sunday night prep for the week ahead - showers, homework, ironing uniforms, etc. then some tv before bed.

Morning! After a sleepness night due to ds coming in very drunk at midnight and me worrying about him (the first time he's ever been that drunk and hopefully the last!) I got up early and walked the dog before mopping the floors now the dog is asleep. Cooking a roast for 10 this afternoon then will sit quietly on the sofa waiting for Call The Midwife.

I'm drinking a delicious coffee made with my stovetop Moka pot espresso thing. I makes such good strong condensed coffee yum

Just finished eating a couple of slices of toast with avocado ( which was very soft so had to be eaten but not at all brown so that was good ) with sliced baby tomatoes, sliced shallot onion, with lemon juice, SnP.

Today I'll be reading and bumbling around. DC are home so will hang out with them

Will make a chicken casserole later

I do need to go out and do a few things but I just can't be arsed

Just done tea in the slow cooker, for when I wake up later. Having a cup of tea before I go to bed. Another night shift tonight.

DS woke me up at 5.45 this morning but he went down for a nap around 7.30 and DD was content watching her iPad in bed with a chocolate pastry so I went back to bed for an extra hours doze. Currently all chilling out in the living room and we’re off for a family swim in about an hour. DD wants to make strawberry cupcakes this afternoon and DH isn’t working tonight so he’s making us a roast dinner. I’m hoping he’ll be up for reading his book tonight so I can watch Call The Midwife!

Getting a train in an hour to Cannon Street (I am in Zone 4 just about) and meeting some friends to visit the Sky Garden for an hour.

Im about to get have a quick breakfast then walk the dogs to Sainsbury's with my son who's visiting as we are (shock horror) out of milk!
Then we are going to do some online research together to find a next step for him - he's 20, been working for the same place three years and feels in a rut and has actually asked for help!
Later he's promised my daughter to make her a banana cheesecake - a challenge as I'm not sure I have the right equipment (blender, right baking tin etc) but should be interesting! They don't have the best relationship and he's been trying hard, and frankly she's not wanting to meet him halfway which is hurtful. But I digress!
We are planning a lamb roast tonight - roasties, roasted veg, Yorkshire pudding - the lot! Then a movie.

DH has gone for a long dog walk with FIL and I’m still in bed with the cats! Getting up soon to do yoga and have some breakfast. Probably won’t go to the gym today but might follow a YouTube workout.

Need to empty the dishwasher, put the washing away, tidy round the usual.

Another dog walk later followed by Unstuffed Peppers from my ‘Comfy’ cookbook for dinner. I had the book for Christmas and have loved everything I’ve made out of it so far.

Dd 19 is still in bed she has an audition for performing arts college this afternoon so going to drop her off then take the dog for a walk
Having roast chicken roast potatoes broccoli cauliflower cheese and parsnips tonight followed by sticky toffee pudding or chocolate pudding
No plans for tonight other than watching tv and getting ready for the week ahead

Today I'm going board games shopping and I also want one of those spinning mop and buckets.
Then I'm making Indian chicken flatbreads and Tiramisu

Today will be spent finishing up an OU TMA that's due in on Tuesday. I am not going to have a fun day

Once that's finished, I'll probably make a start on the next block of work.

I’ve got a stinking cold feel sooo bad. But looking after my daughters 4 month puppy today so will have to keep going, DH will help but he says he feels under the weather too so I’m not expecting much from him 😂🙄

Morning @lucysmam! I'm sitting on the sofa, with my coffee in total silence. Absolute bliss and very unusual! DD is upstairs, DH is in the kitchen prepping roast lamb as my Dad is coming for lunch and I'm having 5 mins to myself. Well, including the kittens. Must stop calling them that, they're nearly 7 months now.
Have some ironing to do this afternoon and DD wants to make fudge. Then a long shower and an early night.
Trying to look after myself a bit better, it's been a rough start to the year and I have a tendency to beat myself up when things go wrong. Hoping for more peaceful weekends like this one and less hassle!

Kids finally finished their Christmas thank you cards this morning. I’m now at swimming with dd, ds is probably still playing on his ps5 🙄. He’s playing football later, thankfully dp will be taking him so I can stay out of the storm 😬. Will have to do DD’s homework though, and then she wants to do some crafty stuff she got for Christmas.

Sausages and wedges for tea and hopefully dd in bed for me to watch Call the Midwife while dp puts ds to bed.

I'm sitting and listening to the wind picking up and deciding what to do today. I've got a cross stitch to start, so may do that. I may also carry on sorting out my wardrobe and take stuff to the textile recycling bin. Or I may just sit here all day stuffing M&S ginger stem cookies - they are soooo delicious!

Morning! Sat here with a coffee and the radio making the most of the peace and quiet. We will be emptying DDs bedroom later, pulling up old carpet ready for the floor fitter coming tomorrow. So there'll be lots of cleaning and hoovering.😒

It’s lashing down outside. I’m freezing as the heating has gone off.
full of a horrendous head cold, sneezing, headache and sore throat.

Got my big blanket, got the American office on the tv, got my iced water and have sunk the first dose of paracetamol for the day.

Need to do a food shop, meal plan for the week, clean and do a bit of work. Not going to get any of that done.

Sleep I think.
