Help identify this UFO from my walk today (photos attached)?

Lovely weather here today so went for a walk at lunchtime. Took a few photos which I’ve just had a look at now and noticed a UFO.

My first thought was a kite but there was no wind and I didn’t see anyone with anything like that. It looks sort of bird-y but why does it have long legs?

First thought was drone,but is an odd-looking one.Thought they were usually a bit more spider shaped

It looks like a pigeon. The 'odd' longer bits are probably motion blur from it flying as you took the photo

Sorry @WhatIsThisThingg but I have zoomed in and it is very pigeon shaped and pigeon coloured.

I'd love to say it is something more exciting. Just my guess

Agree it just looks like motion blur of whatever bird it is.

It looks more mechanical than biological to me. My vote is for drone rather than pigeon.

Size, colour and legs, also the wetlands type area you were walking in fits with it being a heron.

A heron would be fantastic but the neck doesn’t look right to me. It looks more like a wood pigeon shape but the wings are perhaps a bit long?

It's a pigeon, probably your phone has done some kind of post-processing on the photo with dual exposures (HDR?) and thus you've ended up with a slight distortion on the fast moving bit

I would say with pigeon too.

It's one of those robot pigeons that had the batteries changed during Covid so they could continue to spy on the population.

Agree on pigeon, that was my first thought. It was just flapping at high speed so your phone has captured the wings in a blur of movement.

It could definitely be a non-standard shaped drone. DS got a drone that looks like an eagle for Xmas. What a time to be alive!

Looks like it has two sets of wings from motion blur.

The shape of the tail is a dead give away and the colour of the chest.

I had a real UFO photo with an alien looking out the window but I lost it.
