Help identify this UFO from my walk today (photos attached)?

Lovely weather here today so went for a walk at lunchtime. Took a few photos which I’ve just had a look at now and noticed a UFO.

My first thought was a kite but there was no wind and I didn’t see anyone with anything like that. It looks sort of bird-y but why does it have long legs?

What is it? 😳

It's one of those robot pigeons that had the batteries changed during Covid so they could continue to spy on the population.

Yes, isn’t there a thing that birds aren’t real? 😁

Drone or a bird carrying prey

GasPanic · 16/01/2024 18:39

I can imagine it's a bit disappointing though.

You post on Mumsnet thinking you have evidence of one of Life's enduring mysteries - whether or not we are alone in the universe. You imagine thousands of media interviews, royalties and worldwide fame.

And then end up realising you took a photo of a blurry pigeon.

Just another day, another disappointment.

Yup, if it flies, it spies.

Of course, if alien life does exist, it would make sense they’d try to look like something as common and innocuous as a pigeon

It’s a drone filming you taking photos of it. Where about is this?
Also, there’s no such thing as UFOs in the sci-fi sense.

MillicentRogers · 16/01/2024 18:59

The Chinese may be sending in drones disguised as Pigeons.

I would give MI5 a ring.

WhatIsThisThingg · 16/01/2024 18:59

Does anyone have the email address for MI5?

Great minds @MillicentRogers

Actually, thinking back, I do remember hearing what sounded like a hive of angry bees but I was distracted as I was on the phone. Is that what drones sound like? Maybe it was something like this https://www.menkind.co.uk/bionicbird-metabird

Edit: except the wings are the wrong way round

@WhatIsThisThingg OP are you in the Nottinghamshire area? One of these flew over my house today but this one made a noise so I assumed a drone of some kind? It was very bizarre though

WhatIsThisThingg · 16/01/2024 19:29

@Cudz I’m in West Sussex. That is very odd.

Alien here (wading in with my immense knowledge). It’s definitely an alien op.

Delete this thread, Bury your phone and go and sit on the floor facing the kitchen bin while chanting ‘cheeseburger’ in the tune to private dancer by Tina Turner until exactly 23:76 tomorrow night. I can’t guarantee your safety but this should help for a short time.

Nanu Nanu.
