Weird things your body does (not seen one of these threads for a while?)

Just in the shower once again counting how many tiny TINY little red dots have newly appeared on my boobs and arms and made me remember some of the past MN threads about weird shit the body does for no reason, especially the things that Google says = death imminent.

the ones that sound concerning have all been checked out and explained as "body can do strange but harmless things".

As above - I get random pin prick red dots mainly on my boobs and upper arms. They are so teeny if I didn't look for them id prob never notice. They aren't cherry angiomas, just dots like I've been jabbed by a needle 🤔

When I wake up in the morning if I go to touch my eye bag area even just slightly, no actual touching, i hear a whooshing in my ear on the same side

I get very slight beaus lines on all my nails for no reason whatsoever

If I get VERY stressed I sometimes get a splinter haemorrhage, always on the same nail, same place

I occasionally get slight purpura in the exact same place on my thigh. Nothing like googling "tiny bruises on leg no injury" to put the shits up you!

Angel by Thierry Mugler literally smells like BO on me. Perfumes with similar notes are fine, just something in that reacts to my....oils???

I have one random very straight thick ginger pube that just grows forever and I have to trim it. (not just one pube, just one ginger one)

I once had a cyst on my forehead and when I finally squeezed it cut it out with a scalpel from Amazon a shard of glass came out 🥴 do not recall having an accident!!

Anyone else have anything a bit weird? Or am I not that weird and others get stuff like this?? 😃

It's because you are blowing down mucous from your sinuses.

I'll randomly get the most excruciatingly painful shooting pain in my rib cage where I can hardly breath with out crying in pain it lasts for about 30 seconds to a minute but feels like a lifetime! Sometimes I won't get it for months but sometimes it will happen weekly. Google shows nothing!

Oh, and having my eyebrows plucked makes me sneeze. But not if I do it myself.

Sometimes if a scratch a spot in one area, I'll get a sharp nerve type pain in an area nowhere near the spot, almost as if there's a long nerve running from that area to the other, better odd!

If I put my fingertips in very hot water my teeth hurt.

If air is blowing towards my mouth (e.g car heater on full or leaning out of a car window whilst going along) I can’t take a breath or talk, everything just locks up.

I over heat at 3pm every day. Not sure if it’s a perimenopause thing but that’s my only symptom and I’ve had it years!

Scince l had total hysterectomy age 38 the hairs on my legs stopped growing. No more shaving and lovely smooth legs.
I can't raise my eyebrows so l don't have frown lines.

I have toes like this too, I call them my alien toes. They don’t have a joint in them

@MailMe1 oh god, just had a flashback to wearing a strappy top at school non- uniform day. There was a lad who was a bit of a bully and I started wearing a bra late. In front of a whole table he said my nipples were like conkers. Was so embarrassed 😳. It's weird how it's really stuck with me.

Also had a weird thing a few months ago. Finger felt really weird, bit painful but nothing there. Did the cat litter tray and smoothed the clean pellets with my hand. Finger felt all prickly, gently rubbed it and suddenly my whole little finger was purple with bruise but didn't hurt like a bruise. Was so odd.

P.S l also have a bladder the size of a six year old.. it never grew ( yes l pee a lot).. but when Wilkos were open as soon as l went through the door l needed to pee and poo.. ( l carry a card and they let me use the staff loo).
Now they have Wilkos stock in The Range it now happens there.. but never uses before they stocked Wilkos items.

I have Achenbach’s Syndrome too. Happens every few months and is really painful. It’s usually happens around the middle joint of my ring finger and I get a purple bruise there. I also sneeze if I go out into sunshine or the sun shines in my eyes.

Whenever someone phones me I urgently need a poo! So irritating.

Me too! Thank goodness I'm not the only one with the weird feathery boobs. I love plucking them out 😂

I can make my left ear whoosh by closing my eyes a certain way.

My eyes change colour, especially when I cry.

Occasional minge cringe at the idea of something/someone that frightens or disgusts me. Was so grateful to the mumsnetter who described the same thing, as for years I thought I was a lone freak. Other posters joined in, so there are a few of us at least.

I breathe really slowly.

I used to experience sleep paralysis a few times a year. Again, had no idea it was a thing that happened to other people. For anyone who needs to know, I figured out the way to get out of it is to let yourself fall back asleep.

My left breast hurts when I sneeze or blow my nose, just for a second. It doesn't hurt at any other time.

Sometimes when I blow my nose, my eyes squeak loudly enough for others to hear and I feel a weird bubbly sensation around my tear ducts.

I can do the whooshy ears too!

If I watch clips of accidents (You've been framed style or perhaps a compilation on social media) I get a physical reaction - jittery tummy and tingly behind my knees as the person has the accident.

Often see stars when I sneeze ( which currently is annoyingly frequent as I have covid again!)

I can watch my pulse in my wrist.

And for anyone else with Achenbach syndrome.... get a plaster or sports tape around it as quickly as possible - the pressure helps to stop the bleeding and subsequent pain.

I can make myself pee by touching the very top of my bum crack.I get a weird tingly feeling where I touch it and it seems to make my detrusor muscle (the one that squeezes out pee) contract. It only works when I'm actually sitting on the toilet though, otherwise I just get the tingly feeling. Has come in handy when I've needed to give a urine sample but not really needed a wee!

The hairs/feathers!!! I get these too and have tried googling with no luck. I also get them on my stretch marks around my sides and stomach. So satisfying to pull out..

I've never been able to touch my knees on the inside without getting excruciating pain in my groin/hip. It was worse when I was younger.

One of my eyelids goes up and down when I chew.

Sometimes I see beautiful shooting stars (mercury colour) everywhere when I tilt my head. Actually there kind of hallucination.

You should probably get the patch on your face checked out just to be on the safe side.

Oh and I have a bizarre wisdom tooth with three craters. It's definitely one tooth, it's like three teeth all fused together. My family often ask to look at it because it's so peculiar.

I also have a ridiculously sensitive gag reflex, even the sensation of holding an object between my front teeth will make me vomit even if the object doesn't touch the inside of my mouth.

I get a tingling feeling on the outer sides of my eyes sometimes. Feels like someone is brushing gentle feathers over my outer cheekbones.

When I lift something heavy, my arms and wrists get really shaky for the rest of the day.

Sometimes I get a random electric shock sensation down the right side of the back of my neck that makes me twitch.

I get javelin bum too.
