What boring and mundane tasks do you enjoy

I love doing the washing (not ironing).

I enjoy seeing it in the machine and drying on the line.

It's really "my thing" and I take a lot of care with it, or sorting colours etc.

I'm also fussy with making sure my whites stay white (and seeing my kids in lovely white school shirts)!

I like trying out fabric softeners and colour catcher sheets etc. I live the smell of fabric softener too!

I recently went into the launderette to try some towels as my tumble dryer stopped working. I got envious of the woman who worked in there doing service washes!!!!!!!!

I really need to get a life!

Interesting as I don't like putting it away either!!!!

I went on holiday in the summer and was very excited when I discovered we had a washing machine in our apartment.

I washed our beach towels a lot!!!!!

Ironing, my favourite task. Love big piles of it, stick a box set on tv and get on with it. That and cleaning bathrooms.

I like wiping surfaces and mopping floors. I love than even sheen you get when everything is freshly wipes.

Also love folding laundry and creating neat tidy piles of it. It looks so orderly.

Polishing taps and mirrors.

Making fresh coffee every morning - rinsing out the pot and putting the coffee grinds outside - that early morning flash of fresh air and a quick sense of what the weather will be like.

Feeding the birds.

I also love changing the bed. I do it with DH and for some reason we always end up having a real giggle and doing stupid things with the duvet.

Gathering stuff that’s to go to the charity shop and dump.

I’d love to enjoy cleaning the kitchen especially or tidying things away, but hate it with a passion.

I actually like hanging it on the line, something quite therapeutic about it… I however hate taking it off because then I have to sort it….

I love flash mopping.
I love my flash duster aswell…

I love the whole laundry process, very satisfying. I also love cooking and meal planning

I love sweeping floors and sorting out the recycling.
outside I like weeding the beds, but not mowing the lawn!

Organising.

I'm with pp who loves a fridge organiser and all the wardrobes / chests of drawers are tidy and organised - you can see everything in them Marie kondo style.

I love it. Knowing that when you open a door or drawer and it will be organised is so satisfying.

Give me anything to organise / sort / tidy and I'm happy.

I used to do this and loved it. Somewhere along the line I lost the love for it.
I do love a clean kitchen, although the teenagers have an amazing ability to know when I've cleaned it and wreak it in 15 seconds getting snacks, meals and drinks.

I’ve just had a really good shredding session, but the pinnacle of my day today was decanting new boxes of dishwasher tablets and stock cubes into the more humidity-proof receptacles I keep them in. So satisfying stacking them up. I also love carbonating water with my sodastream 😂

Washing the dishes. I don't have a dishwasher and I find it quite meditative

Hoovering. I like seeing the bits on the carpet disappear.

Also enjoy food shopping and putting it away, Tetris style.

And brushing cats, very relaxing.

I quite like ironing and I love emptying/sorting cupboards and drawers but you must make sure to plan ahead and make sure you've got enough time to finish the job.
I hate anything to do with cleaning the floors, hoovering or mopping or anything else. I also don't like emptying the cat's litter tray (known here as her shit hut). But I love the cat so accept having to do it.

Sorting. I love it.

Lego, toys, Hama beads, books, cutlery, toolboxes, cupboards… absolutely anything that’s mixed up that I can sit quietly and make organised, ideally with an audiobook.

Also untangling yarn.

I think I am you, laundry is my thing too, never have an overflowing basket and any fine day is just an excuse to get some done and on the line.

Doing laundry and tidying up.

Oh the washing, definitely! Love a blowy sunny day, putting it all out on the line (Lakeland pegs are the best!!) wash after wash, then around 5pm getting it all back in, smelling lovely, folded and tidied away… bliss!
Also, slipping into clean line-dried bedding…
Also fond of a good tidy-up when there’s only me and the Ddog here… eg: nobody here to mess the place up!😁

I really like laundry and ironing! And cooking, but I don't see that as boring.

Forgot to say…

Hate - hoovering the stairs or the car… always skin my knuckles, bang my head or hurt my self in some daft way!

Don’t mind - doing ‘poo patrol’ 💩 in the garden

Like - prepping veg or fruit for something home-made, find the peeling or chopping or assembling very calming

oooh yes ‘brushy’ time with the cat is lovely my boy adores a good brushy and I love emptying the dyson cannister after a good vac

Ha- I've just managed to find a lady who genuinely loves ironing too and gets paid to do it - 3 bags off to her tommorrow- yay! I can't think of anything I hate more.
