What boring and mundane tasks do you enjoy

I love doing the washing (not ironing).

I enjoy seeing it in the machine and drying on the line.

It's really "my thing" and I take a lot of care with it, or sorting colours etc.

I'm also fussy with making sure my whites stay white (and seeing my kids in lovely white school shirts)!

I like trying out fabric softeners and colour catcher sheets etc. I live the smell of fabric softener too!

I recently went into the launderette to try some towels as my tumble dryer stopped working. I got envious of the woman who worked in there doing service washes!!!!!!!!

I really need to get a life!

All housework apart from ironing ( rarely do it) and drain clearing cleaning. Like the results though!

Me too! I have an odd sock bag and once a week or occasionally 2 weeks I tackle it. The sweet satisfaction of matching each pair.

@behaveyourselvesplease also, I am dire at keeping whites white! What is the secret? 🙏 I've tried so many things and still everything goes grey.
I bought some gorgeous lingerie once and knowing if it went in the machine it would go grey. I diligently hand washed it separately in special handwash whites detergent... Still went grey!!! 😵‍💫

Form filling. I like carefully filling in boxes etc in Capital letters.

I like vacuuming, washing carpets, washing dishes and putting clothes in the washing machine and hanging them on the line.

I’ll admit it’s the only domestic thing I do, and I don’t do it often, but I really love cleaning all the worktops, kitchen units and the sink with a bleachy solution. I do it when my husband is out as it annoys him. It just feels so bloody clean. 😂

I like dusting and seeing all the dust come off. I don't dust how my mum did. I use a wet cloth and then a dry one. Otherwise I feel like I'm simply moving dust about.

I hate ironing. Love wiping work tops and mopping the floor. Favourite one is hoovering. Happy to take the title of saddo.

I could have written your post op 😂I also love doing the washing, separate everything by colour, so blues/greens, pinks/reds, black, grey etc!

I have also thought a launderette would be a good place to work but then decided that I wouldn't want to touch other people's washing.

I don't enjoy putting it away and this can take days for me to do.

Sweeping the floor it's as close to one of those Japanese meditation sand garden things I can get at this moment in time.

No daily tasks I hate them all with a passion. However love glossing and cutting in. Could spend hours doing it. One of the main joys is that it gets me out of all the other dull tasks.

I love clearing out my fire and carefully building a little fire starter teepee for the next fire. I also enjoy looking after the fire and getting it going properly which can be hard work - I even have fireproof gloves. It’s serious business…

Tidying. It’s like a walking meditation, pausing to pick up some displaced item and put it back in its place. I had to do a lot of decluttering so everything had a place.

Shall we form a commune? We could all have amazingly sparkly houses, ironed laundry and chopped veg.

Hoovering. Recently bought myself a £400 vacuum cleaner to fulfil all my hoovering needs. Love it.

Washing up and cleaning the doors 😂 if the doors are clean then all is okay in the world.

@TheBestSpoon, yes this is a risk. You can secretly rearrange it all when he goes out the room though. 👍😆

Cleaning the kitchen sink/draining board, and all the worktops. I tackle the lime scale, give it a good clean, then polish with a micro fibre cloth. I love a shiny sink me 😁

I don't have much time as have a young family so when you eggs is at nursery and I'm not working (1 day a week) I love to just do the housework in my own time and potter about the house doing jobs and listening to my ebook.

Doing the laundry. It’s such a satisfying feeling to have a clean pile for everyone, washed, dried and folded.

Mowing the lawn and gardening in general.

I love working my way through an enormous pile of washing up and ending up with a dishwasher humming, and a shiny sink, counters, amd stovetop. Give me the Christmas dinner wash any day. My motivation is waking up to a sparking kitchen.

I love emptying the ash from the wood burner and making the next fire
But what I love most ( and havnt done in ages ) is cleaning the patients dentures in the hospice I worked in. Loved getting all the food out of the nooks and crannies and giving the patient a shiny set of pearly whites to put back in
