Who can beat my NYE for excitement?
So far, I've managed to free the plug from the sink where it was stuck, unblocked the loo, and done some online shopping for livingroom curtains and a kitchen bin....
Living it up at the end of 2023!

I've just started rewatching the x files on Disney +, on episode 3 and finding Eugene Tooms just as scary at 43 as I did at 14.

I am chilling on the sofa minding the dog against the fireworks… we are watching die hard. Wouldn’t be put out if you paid me in diamonds

I’ve spent the night with my 3 sons. The 6 year old has just fallen asleep and the other 2 are currently watching Karate kid. We all watched Christmas chronicles before this, which was lovely. Really enjoyed spending it with them, in the warm. Can’t be doing with crowds, queuing for ages to get a drink etc!

Pjs. Heated blanket. Book. Couldn't be happier! The thought of being outside is horrifying. So glad to be older and not feel the pressure to be out, having 'fun'.

Put 15 month old to bed at 7, watched a good horror movie on Disney plus with DH, now I'm smoking and having a coffee scrolling MN after which I'm off to bed. Just praying the fireworks that have already started won't wake the little one. I love my life😁

Did a tip run, moved some other stuff to the storage unit, cleaned the house, and about to take a shower. I'll be ringing in the New Year watching Dave Chapelle's new Netflix special while eating sausage and chips 😋

Ooh well I've taken the tree down, changed the bedding and finished my Christmas jigsaw. Now sat at SIL's stone cold sober (pregnant) while DH plays FIFA with our Niece and I keep being thrust into FaceTime calls with random relatives by MIL and SIL.

Driving us home through wild weather in a bit. Bed by 11 for sure. Living the dream!

dp has put a new tv unit together which took over 4 hours as it was a pain in the arse, only for the tv not to fit despite it saying it would. I’ve cried most of the evening as I’m fed up and in pain with fibromyalgia and my nearly 13 year old dd has gone to bed in a mood and with no food as she wanted a McDonald’s and we said no as there’s a ridiculous amount of food in the house. The sink is full of dishes and i have a ton of laundry!

Watching The Change a weird comedy about the menopause on More4 with a cup of decaf tea. Wearing a dodgy tracksuit. I may leave the washing up till the morning. Wild times round my way.

Well crack open champagne 🍾 later. Just relaxing now. Had a slow day, walked pooch 🐕 and had pub lunch. We planned to fit a wardrobe, shelves and poles, but my back muscles are in spasms 🤦‍♀️

We popped to the pub for a drink but were back home for 7pm. We’ve had cheese and biscuits and are now watching the Barbie movie with a glass of wine. Will just about stay up til midnight, I think. The dog definitely won’t make it til midnight, she’s snoring already. May need to find some chocolate shortly to help us stay awake 😀😀
