I love reading these!

I got the lamp that I had been wanting for at least 6 months! I also got a Prada Paradoxe perfume, a Lego Bonsai tree, an Inkey List skincare set and some socks 😊

Nothing ..like every year 😕

I'll buy you a present next year. What would you like? 😊

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 31/12/2023 19:14

@SandyWaves I never get any presents either. It's rubbish isn't it? I bought myself a few nice things I wouldn't normally splurge on. Can you do the same?

Tonight1 · 31/12/2023 19:31

Nothing big, some money, handbag, fancy candle, beauty products and a hat. Hat's too big for me and I was surprised as I have to assemble the candle. I think you're supposed to microwave it in a pouch then tip it into the glass holder and put the wick in.

I much prefer one ready to go!

Lots of lovely things, feel very fortunate.

Some lovely books, always the best gift
An M&S handbag I have wanted for a while (im not a designer bag kind of person, just like functionality really)
My favourite chocolates
A lovely Pooky lamp that I've been banging on about for ages
Pj's and cosy socks (an essential for me!)
DP's parents very generously gave us vouchers for a new dining table - we've been without one since we moved in. Really didn't expect that one.

I always enjoy the silly but thoughtful bits I get in my stocking. DP does mine and he got me some lovely little stocking fillers - personalised planner stickers for my diary, nice pens, a book token, laneige lip balm, candle wick trimmer, ' 'posh' matches - the type in the decorative boxes. It's those things I most enjoy. He's a brilliant gift giver and I know I'm really lucky in that respect, it never goes without saying.

I'll probably forget something. 🙈

From DH - La Vie est Belle Intensement perfume and a football strip for our local team. He also paid for a nail and brow appointment I had just before Christmas.

From my parents - nice new silver earrings, 3 West Ham t-shirts, a Vera Bradley crossbody bag, M&S chocolates, a MagSafe charger for my phone

From my best friend - a Lush bath bomb, a calendar of a local artist we like, a Christmas ornament with my dog's name, and because I look after her son she got a set of Bluey socks for me, DH and her DS to wear together (we have a massive thing for Bluey since starting to look after him, I even bought DH a Unicorse t-shirt for one of his gifts).

From my DC - a lovely massive cosy scarf

From my cousin who was visiting - Apple and M&S vouchers

We had some friends and family we haven't seen (DB and SIL had Covid over Christmas) so I'll have more gifts in the New Year too.

My mum still does me a thoughtful stocking, love opening that! And she gave me money which I've allocated in YNAB for my horse camp this summer.
My sister got me scamp and dude PJs, earrings plus a huge squishmallow I asked for Blush
DH bought me some new running trainers but I chose them myself and want to keep them as daywear. He also paid for something I wanted for my horse after Christmas Day because he wanted to rebalance the gift-giving!

Lifeetc · 31/12/2023 22:48

We had a nice small Christmas
Favourite presents were..
A handmade mug from my nephew
A beautiful (and very rare) brooch
Vegan marshmallows! ( Didn't know they existed, m&S really tasty)
A handmade scarf which must have taken hours to make.

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 31/12/2023 22:53

From DH, DS1 & DS2 a pair of socks, lunch bag and dressing gown I'd asked for. Very happy with that.

Now I'll have to think of something for my birthday.... If I don't give them a list I know I won't get anything.....

CutiePatooties · 31/12/2023 22:55

I bought myself a Baylis & Harding bath set when I did the food shop online at Tesco as it was only £6 and I wanted to open something on Christmas Day.
