what do you wear on NYE?

Going to a local function room with a live band for a party tonight
and looking at what to wear. I'm not a trousers person. I love
this dress, always makes me
feel a million dollars when I put it on as it fits so well and is so flattering. (I'm a short size 14/16)
It's more of an occasion dress. How do I dress it down? Ballet flats? White trainers? Leather jacket over the top?
Or should I just wear an LBD as per usual?

Wear your dress. It’s NYE! Maybe leather jacket and boots but go for it.

I’m just about to iron my children’s dresses and realised what I’m wearing is so boring in comparison.

For me pj's but that dress is absolutely beautiful op and looks as though it would be very flattering. I would wear it with boots and tights and a jacket and just style it out. It's a party, you're allowed to dress up a bit!

Maybe some chunky jewellery too? Depends though sometimes can swamp a petite frame.

Nye is a dress up night. Unless you plan to go to bed early or freeze your tits off watching fireworks.

I would never wear something so smart, but I think if you can't dress up on NYE if you want to, when can you? So even though I am a jeans person, I would not think it weird if you wore that.

The dress is lovely. Wear it. I think it's glam without being too dressy so go for it. I'd wear flats and a jacket over the top

That dress isn't overly glam, I'd say it's smart casual. Wear it if it makes you feel good.

Good question, I'm sat on my bed staring at my wardrobe (open) with the same dilemma. Do I wear the cocktail dress (silk) the black dress (cheap but looks good) my navy dress ... and can I wear my doc martens????

Go for it! It’s a nice dress, but rather plain and modest so not overly dressy. Fit for a normal night out, let alone NYE!

Why do you need to dress it down? If you feel great in it just wear it and style how you usually would.

I'm another wearing pyjamas. I'll be tucked up in bed well before midnight!

Yoga pants and a sweater til about ten pm here just incase anyone pops round uninvited (which is a possibility) 😑. Otherwise pjs all the way.
