Just a random thread to be nosey and see what you are all up too on this very strange Saturday between Christmas and the beginning of 2024. Me and DP have spent the afternoon taking down decs, cleaning, moving our twins into their own bedroom. They are currently sleeping over at gps tonight. So DP is watching the footy, i am scrolling, drinking wine and waiting on our chinese. Anyone doing anything exciting?

Just made DH’s birthday cake. Basically the Christmas cake that I never got round to making before Christmas. But he’ll be pleased just to get it, regardless of when!!! Never known anyone love fruit cake and marzipan quite so much!!!

He’s shooting things on the PS5, and our two kittens are asleep having had the mad zoomies earlier this afternoon. The fishing tool got absolutely battered today!!!!

We’re going to re-watch S1 of Reacher on Amazon tomorrow. Looking forward to that. 😁

Drove from London to Norfolk with DD to our holiday home (kill me). Turned all the Xmas lights back on, including on the outside of the house. Popped to pub and saw Forest have a glorious result. Brought pizza home from the pub, drank quite a lit of white wine with ice while watching Elf

I've just put down the section of crochet dachshund I made this evening - just legs & tail to go then I can assemble it. I'm going to have an hour ish with my book and a brew, then head to bed.

Dd1's just got in the shower & dd2 is doing her hair - it's curly & takes a while to diffuse nicely...then she undoes it all by wrapping it around one of those heatless curler things 🙄 but what do I know 🤷‍♀️

Today we took down Christmas decorations, quick tidy and then put up New Year's decorations. Hosting at ours this year, so popped out to stock up on party food and drinks.
Now curled up on sofa planning city breaks/holidays for 2024 and singing along to Hairspray.

Nursing a hangover, listening to the rain coming down on my static caravan roof. Very cosy.

Planning a party for all the local teens for NYE so doing some last minute prep whilst drinking so might mess this up 🤣

There are 12 days of Christmas - decorations come down on Jan’ 6th.

Decs came down here on 27th - kids with their dad until Jan 3rd so couldn’t see the point in keeping them up!

Didn’t have any dec’s at all. Brought these two home on the 17th. A tree was NOT happening. Likely not next year either.

It's worth foregoing a tree for those two
