What are we all doing this evening?

Just a random thread to be nosey and see what you are all up too on this very strange Saturday between Christmas and the beginning of 2024. Me and DP have spent the afternoon taking down decs, cleaning, moving our twins into their own bedroom. They are currently sleeping over at gps tonight. So DP is watching the footy, i am scrolling, drinking wine and waiting on our chinese. Anyone doing anything exciting?

Had a very long walk with the dog today then came back to cook the first normal meal we've had since Christmas Day - feeling rather relaxed/tired now so it's sofa, Prosecco, football and then the darts! Had a lovely day thus far 😊

Day of decs down (back at work properly Tues don’t want the hassle after that), errands, a bit of work, meal planning and food shopping.

Have thrown pasta and pesto (and peas 🤣) at the teens, and am making DH and I aubergine parmigiana while we have a bit of us time as we’ve done an awful lot of entertaining between work, and are back at it again tomorrow.

Plus, have popped open a bottle of wine a lovely client gave me for Christmas.

I bloody love the Christmas season for all its little different parts.

Watching Vigil

Boxset binge (The Blacklist) with DH. He's innocently enjoying the show, I'm quietly looking around for things I can declutter/clear out/charity shop tomorrow while taking the Christmas decorations down!

Watching 'The secret' on Netflix currently whilst 12/13 weeks pregnant. Can't seem to stop snacking/grazing and going to have an early night.

Also pregnant means no NYE plans other than stay in tomorrow lol

Just put the DCs to bed, DH and DDog are also fast asleep on the Sofa downstairs. I'm going to run myself a lovely bath with all my Xmas lotions and potions! Then make a Prawn Cocktail for dinner (just what I fancy) then hopefully find a gritty documentary! Feel very aware that there's only a few days until normal routine starts again, so whilst there's no homework / ironing / Packed lunches to be done - I'm going to chill whilst I can!

DH is out at a friend’s birthday drinks that I didn’t fancy. Me and our teens just had crispy duck and pancakes and are watching Paddington 2. I’m in fleecy PJs and socks and feeling SO relaxed and cosy. I don’t want this Betwixtmas period to end.

Watching moana for the 100th time this week whilst trying to explain to my 3 year old that oranges have to be peeled to eat them, whilst my 5 year old is complaining that I won't take her to the park to play as it will be empty and she can take her new torch ( asd, has a logical answer for everything!)

I prefer it to go down before I go back to work - thankfully not the only one @TwinMummaX

Watching world's strongest man with wine.
Dp is making home made pork, haggis and black pudding burgers to have with curly fries.

Enjoying peace and quiet,watching Hairspray,drinking rum and Diet Coke ,ordering sons birthday presents 🤦‍♀️.

Waiting to board our flight to Cape Verde.

This has been the most relaxing Christmas for years.

Just back from Xmas abroad, under two duvets, drinking tea and watching TV.

Early evening cocktails, now a nice glass of wine whilst dinner cooks.

Watching Indiana Jones. The 10yo is cringing behind his hand at the smoochy bit 😂

Laid in bed debating whether or not I can be bothered to shove a pair of jeans on and go to the shop to get something nice to eat. Part of me really can't be bothered but the other half thinks if I don't go now it'll be too late cos I want a glass of baileys soon.

We took the DC on their bikes down to the beach and prom while the weather was ok this morning. It has been almost dark here since about 2pm and raining.
I feel really low and miserable.
DD and DS2 in bed. DS1 is watching 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' with DH. I'm sitting in my art 'studio' in a comfy armchair, feet up, with my heat pad and a throw, on mnet and having a cappucino and 3 Chocolate Bailey's Liebniz biscuits - I might open the last packet yet.

Staying in Hotel Riu in Santa Maria,its our third time staying there.

Two and a half hours in to a 6 hour journey on the motorway in the pissing down rain on our way to visit family....fingers crossed that the next services have an M&S 🤞

Taken down tree and decs and cleaned up/ put everything away
Just eaten a pizza and am having a beer and scrolling MN, while DH watches wrestling 😂 and kids are watching sing and one of them on Minecraft
