Can anyone recomend one in the sales? I have no idea what I'm looking for in one of these. Grateful for any suggestions.

Lurking in hope you get a reply

hiredandsqueak · 27/12/2023 13:50

I have a Neato, son has a Samsung, daughter has a Eufy. Neato and Samsung are better than Eufy but more expensive. We all love them.

Monkeybutt1 · 27/12/2023 14:19

It depends what you want, we have an Ecovac that hoovers and mops which is perfect as we have a large open plan kitchen/diner with hard floors. It's the best thing we've ever bought

We have a Eufy and it goes with two dc and a giant hairy dog so really recommend!

Goddessonahighway · 27/12/2023 15:16

Didn't even realise you could get them to mop too. That sounds fab. Do you hoover every so often as well as the robot vac?

Mops???!!!! Bring me one now.

I have a eufy 15c. I think it’s a reasonably basic model, and I haven’t set it up with the app/alexa etc, just turn it on. I got it a week or two before Christmas and it’s already been a game changer. I have a hairy dog, and I have so far only used the eufy on the hard floors (until Xmas tree on carpet in sitting room has gone), but the hair and dust levels are noticeably reduced. I hoovered the sitting room and there was half the amount of crap which would have been walked in/floated in.

Goddessonahighway · 27/12/2023 15:36

I've found an ecovac (new) for £189. The one that mops too. Does that sound good? Don't want to pay more than that at this time of year. Any other suggestions for that price or lower?

I've got an Eufy. I didn't get a mopping one, I couldn't imagine that it would deal with the amount of mud the children and dog bring in.
Yes, I do the corners and crevices with the normal hoover when I can be bothered.

Yeah that's a good price. We have ours on a schedule so it hoovers all of downstairs a few nights a week when we are in bed. She's connected to Google too so I can set her off when I want from any room.

I have a brace of iRobots. A hoovering Roomba j7, and a mopping Braava Jet. Got them last January and I think they are great. The Roomba is scared of the Christmas tree though.

Goddessonahighway · 27/12/2023 17:33

Or there's a Wifi Connected Roomba Combo® Robot Vacuum & Mop for £199? I don't know the brands/reputations. Anyone got any strong opinions with ecovac or roomba? Thanks!

Which one is the best? Neato, Samsung Efey, roomba, ecovac?
What should I look for? I'd love it to have mop function too

LittleRebelGirl · 27/12/2023 17:54

Also here for recommendations! If you could list your model not just the brand. Or even better, a link to it, I'd be eternally grateful!

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 28/12/2023 11:35

bumping 👋

SugarPlumpFairy3 · 28/12/2023 12:00

Did you decide? I’m interested in the roomba and the evovac. I’ve had 3 from eufy and they’ve all broken.

newnamethanks · 28/12/2023 12:07

Wowchers got one on offer today.

User478 · 28/12/2023 12:15

We have a eufy15C too and it gets on with it. Keeps up with the pet hair and general detritus.

We got the basic sweep and mop one for another house with wooden floors throughout. The mop is a microfiber cloth that it pulls behind it, it is not the best (but still better than me having to do it myself!)

Goddessonahighway · 28/12/2023 13:07

Right, I've done it. I've ordered the Wifi Connected Roomba Combo® Robot Vacuum & Mop £199 from irobot. Looks like their basic model. I'll report back once I've received it and had a mess around with it. Fingers crossed!

How’s it going @Goddessonahighway?

Goddessonahighway · 03/01/2024 20:10

Funnily enough, it just arrived today. We're going to have a play around with it tomorrow. Will report back with findings! 😄

OP posts:
SugarPlumpFairy3 · 03/01/2024 21:56

Yes, definitely report back please 😄.

LittleRebelGirl · 03/01/2024 23:45

Awaiting report capt'n!
I'm just back from 4 days away and the house is a shithole from the cats being here even though I hoovered before leaving. Cat hair and litter everywhere, oh and bits of Christmas tree!
I really need to get one ASAP.

Goddessonahighway · 04/01/2024 20:56

Quick update: we fell at the first hurdle. It came with an European two pin plug and we didn't have any adaptors in the house. Have ordered one. So close, and yet so far. The wait for findings continues...
