Coffee consumed
Dishwasher unloaded
Santa’s biscuit back in barrel and thank you note left
stockings placed outside bedrooms

and now…. quick 35 minute route!

anyone else?!

Single parent of a 12 and 14 year old… so pretty confident that by time i’m back, showered and dressed…both will still be fast asleep!

If it stays dry I’ll head out for a quick bike ride 10 miles, shower then presents. Need to wait till light though

rockingbird · 25/12/2023 07:12

This will be me next year.. 😆

PeanutAndBanana · 25/12/2023 07:21

Wondering about it but I'm still feeling slightly unwell from COVID so may hold off until tomorrow and spend this morning under a blanket on the sofa while the teens sleep. Enjoy yours!

NatMoz · 25/12/2023 07:26

I'm doing a parkrun at 9am! It's only half a mile away and we're celebrating our running club friend's 100th parkrun!

garlicandsapphires · 25/12/2023 07:32

Me - had I not recently broken my ankle.
I’ve surprised myself with recent early morning running. Surprised because I did it and because I enjoyed it.
Funny how much you want something you can’t have 🙄

HeraSyndulla · 25/12/2023 07:34

I’m off to the stables to feed horses and wish them a happy Christmas.

mummysquasher · 25/12/2023 07:34

Also heading to parkrun. My local isn't on so I've got a short drive to get there but will be worth it 😁

Enjoy! We're off to parkrun too. It's my DS's 50th run. It's Bushy parkrun so likely to be hundreds of runners. Last Christmas Day was about 1800 but not as big as 2019 which saw 2600.

NotFastButFurious · 25/12/2023 07:35

xmas day parkrun for me too!

GreatOak · 25/12/2023 07:38

Congrats to those who have milestones today! Also heading off to Park Run at 9am. 🏃‍♀️

Raisinsandweetabix · 25/12/2023 07:39

I would love to, and that was my plan until Covid got me last week! Not 100percent yet so maybe try tomorrow... enjoy your run

TravellingSpoon · 25/12/2023 07:41

I'm off to Parkrun too. Enjoy everyone.

TravellingSpoon · 25/12/2023 07:43

Am also not at home so will be doing a bit of tourism which I haven't been able to do for ages.

Yep, me too @rockingbird 🤭😆

Edited to add - Have fun and enjoy your run everyone! 🏃🏻‍♀️

Thecatisboss · 25/12/2023 07:48

Another one going to parkrun (or mudfest) this morning! Dh wants to come too and DD has after saying yesterday she wanted to come decided at 9pm it sounded too much for her.

Iwantacampervan · 25/12/2023 07:50

I will be going out for a walk later with the dog and friends. If my local parkrun was on I would be going to volunteer as the atmosphere would be great, have fun those who are venturing out.

rochenutty · 25/12/2023 07:51

Just this minute back.
Heavens… i’m in Kent and it SO mild. Completely windless. In theory perfect running weather but I don’t feel like got in to the groove like i generally do on this short route.

Happy now though and about to jump in to shower. DD awake and desperate for stocking but i’ve said we need to wait until DS up (but sadly unlikely for another couple of hours!)

Happy Christmas all

Parkrun for us too! Xmas Smile

londonloves · 25/12/2023 08:01

I did 8.5k yesterday, won't have time today but aiming to do a 5 tomorrow

PonDeReplay · 25/12/2023 08:06

Thanks for starting this thread @rochenutty - you’ve inspired me to get up and go outside too! Merry Christmas all.

JustOneMoreBaileys · 25/12/2023 08:08

Not a run but dishwasher unloaded and restacked. Hoover round. Everything tidied back away to start the day afresh. Dog walked.

Some years the Xmas early morning dog walk is lovely - I've had some bright frosty ones through the local woods. Just me, the dog and the wildlife.

This years was mild and soggy. But still, it's done and nice to start the day with some fresh air.

Now a cup of tea and carols while I wait for everyone to stir.

motleymop · 25/12/2023 08:09

Envious!! I've got a baby and a toddler, so it's out of the picture at the moment. Enjoy!

LittleGreenFroggie · 25/12/2023 08:09

2 coffees and 1 croissant down (will have second croissant later) and I'm off to Parkrun soon. My DS is with his dad this morning so no excuse not to run! Only done Christmas Day Parkrun once before and the atmosphere with brill!

rockingbird · 25/12/2023 07:12

This will be me next year.. 😆

I'll join you 🤣

megletthesecond · 25/12/2023 08:15

Yes, me later.

garlic hope you are on the mend. I did mine (not too badly) back in June and I won't lie, it is a long slog getting back to normal after being in a boot, but you will get there. Bloomin' weight bearing breakages.
