My 6 year old woke up at about 5 I've been awake since 4 (I have a cold so all stuffed up) my 3 year old woke up about 30 minutes ago,we are just relaxing a bit then we will go down 😃

My kids woke up at 11.15 excited. Eventually went to sleep at 2.30 after I'd given in and given them their stockings to open.
They are now fast asleep and I'm enjoying a nice cup of coffee in bed.

Was being the bigger person and trying to do the right thing for the 3 year old.

Annoyingly I'm wide awake with DC (2&4) and DH still sound asleep...

Not yet. Even though my son is 7, so peak Father Christmas age, nothing wakes him early!

We’re staying at SIL’s and the previous two nights my 2yo couldn’t cope with the strange bed and came in with us. This morning he’s slept all night and no signs of him or the 4yo waking yet!

Nope but DH is in the shower and I'm going in next in a bid to wake them up.

As a single parent it's not necessarily the right thing, it can set a precedent and create confusion. Sometimes a clean break is the best thing.

Mine is 15 so I'll be lucky to see him before midday. He might stir if I start cooking breakfast. 😂

OK so I've just played Shakin Stevens through their echo dots as a festive alarm, I think that may have done the trick?

9 year old still sleeping. Teenager coughing !

Just me and the cat awake here, and she's, no doubt, going to fall asleep here. Will probably be 9 before my 3yo appears.

My day started at 2:55am when my 6yo saw that Father Christmas had visited. I didn't go back to sleep, he eventually did after a 3 hour long mega meltdown over the fact I wouldn't start the day at 2:55. I'm absolutely hanging right now 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Lesson learned, stocking is not going in his bedroom next year!!

2yo is in our bed watching Cocomelon next to a snoring DH while we wait for 4yo to wake up. I'm wondering if I've got time for a shower. Probably not.

I can't fathom how mine is still sleeping! I've been awake for an hour!

Older DC (12, 14, 16) so no-one bar me is up & it's great!

I should be using the time more productively instead of MN'ing, of course!

Nope , just me and the dogs . DS (19) did come down stairs late last night to put his Santa stop here sign out 🤣

I think my plan to put DC 6 to bed late so they weren't up at the crack of dawn worked a little too well

My 14 year old is awake but is happily reading in bed showing no signs of getting up yet!

Nope but I've been awake since 5 (mainly because next door keep slamming doors).

It was 6:40 here - not bad. I woke up at 4.30 though, managed to get back to sleep, then again at 5.55. So tired now! X
