Anyone too excited to sleep?

33 years old and here I am at 4am wide awake 😁😂 been up for about 1.5hours so far.

I have a 3yo and it’s the first year he’s properly understood Christmas. He went to bed SO excited and I just can’t wait to see his little face in the morning 🥺

I'm 33 too and also can't get back to sleep!

Me! 2.5 yo woke up an hour ago and went back to sleep straight away but I haven’t 😂 am 38 weeks pregnant too and baby is obvs picking up my vibes and kicking away with excitement too.

I can't sleep either, I'm so crap at sleeping the night before a big event. I get really frustrated with myself and then it becomes a cycle. I've been lying in bed for 4 hours now trying to get to sleep.

I am also a too excited to sleep 33 year old 🤣 went to bed at 1:15 and just woke up! House is silent and I am listening out for my eldest discovering his stocking.

I have a 10 year old and an almost 1 year old whose first Christmas it is. I hope you have a wonderful day with your little one it’s magic when they understand!

So glad it’s not just me 😂 I love Christmas anyway but this year just feels extra special for my little family for some reason!! I hope you all have some nice plans for today. We’ve opted to keep it really low-key 😊 Have a few family members visiting us late morning for tea/coffee/Christmas cake/mince pies and to see DS. And then it’s just DH, DS and I for a day of play and a nice Christmas dinner 😊

Another one here who can’t get back to sleep! Although being 37 weeks pregnant also has something to do with it.

My heads buzzing , I've been so busy prepping Xmas trying to keep the magic alive amd hoping they commit tomorrow and we have a lovely day bonding and being together

33 as well and can't get back to sleep. Too excited to see my 8 & 6 year olds open their presents. Though it was later than 4 when I woke!!

45, head is full and swirling after work and Christmas prep. I've not had More than 3 hours sleep a night for over a week now but I'm sooo tired.

I'm verging on the nausea, dizzy stage of sleep derivation. Sadly it's nothing to do with excitement

I did have to disappoint my DS before bed when he told me that he can’t wait for Christmas so that we have snow instead of wind and rain 🥲😂 “but it’s Christmas…it’s meant to be snowy!” 🥲 We live in Scotland sweetheart 🥲😂

Me too! I've been awake since 3!!!

Went to sleep about 12.45, woke up 2 hrs later because DP was snoring (doesn't usually) and haven't been able to fall back asleep since! Currently listening to birds tittering outside, despite it being dark.

Do I go down and eat some cheese, or just lie here until I hear DS is awake...

Ahh I've found my people!! I thought it was just me! I'm vicariously excited for my DCs 2 and 4, they really know what's going on this year!!

I am awake with a broken ankle, need a wee and can’t face the painful hobble to the loo.
Having a lot of weird painkiller induced dreams including one just now about babies (I am childless not by choice) and now I am feeling quite sad

I've been awake for an hour or because I thought the time was 7.34am and I'd missed my alarm telling me to take medication. It was flipping 4.34am and now I'm wide awake, grrrrr....

I’m awake because my six month old just woke me up for a feed. I’m a bit excited because it’s his first Christmas but he doesn’t know what’s going on so it’s not that exciting this year. I can’t wait until he’s a bit older and I can make it really special and magical for him.
