Anyone too excited to sleep?

33 years old and here I am at 4am wide awake 😁😂 been up for about 1.5hours so far.

I have a 3yo and it’s the first year he’s properly understood Christmas. He went to bed SO excited and I just can’t wait to see his little face in the morning 🥺

Low key is definitely the way to go! Relax and enjoy - let any moments of children not living up to expectations go! (She says to herself more than anyone else!)

now if only I could make a coffee without disturbing anyone!

It's quite nice! DP is up as well now, DS2 still asleep in our bed, DD4 still out for the count as well! I'm lighting the fire and got shit TV on while I still have a choice of what's on 🤣

I’m not a v Christmassy person and just have regular old insomnia but caught 4hrs sleep and then woke from a very pleasant dream

Nothing fancy, just a relaxed dinner party, but right at the end as the host was clearing away she made a remark about ‘magic chicken’ and winked

I’m still smiling from the good vibe of the dinner dream and at the revelation the host was an Mner

Happy Christmas everyone

As usual I have woken earlier than the kids on Christmas Day. My 3 year old will be up at 7 (he’s always up at 7). I’m always excited about seeing the kids open their presents.

my teenager always used to sleep in on Christmas Day. Even when he was little. He never slept in any other time but obviously exhausted himself with excitement in Christmas Eve. So we’d always be up waiting for him. 🤣

33 year old here and 37 weeks pregnant! Wide awake and so excited!

I woke up at 5am and couldn’t fall back asleep. Now I’m downstairs drinking coffee in front of the Christmas tree. I have a 4 year old and a 3 year old who are going to wake up very excited 😜 🎅🏻

Another 33 year old here (but not Scottish). Awake feeding my newborn dd but I bloody love Christmas and always have. A little daunting that I'm the one that makes the magic now but my two year old ds is slightly too young still to really get it so I'm treating this year as a practice run.

I'm 34 and waiting for mine! I also have a 3yo who was super excited yesterday!!

They are usually up long before now! Might go down and turn on all the lights and make a quick cuppa so we can do stockings in bed when they wake. ❤️

Oh crap! I forgot to put the Buck's Fizz in the fridge!
I've woken up throughout the night. Though I have slept better than I have in all of my past 37 Christmases! I'm now waiting to hear signs of life from one of the kids. I've been banned from waking the youngest up. He's usually been awake for an hour by now! My 18 year old has usually been sending me texts from her room, but all is silent! I'm resisting the urge, so far, to play noddy holder on Alexa in everyone's rooms!
