How did you propose/your DP propose to you?

So DP has started to look for rings (exciting!)
Its got me feeling all nostalgic and loved up. I love seeing propsals online but they are all so staged looking. Please share your lovely proposal stories!

We had known each other a good while before being together, so 3 months in, and my first PCOS horribly heavy period arrived and floored me.
He went to get me supplies, including pads and tampons. When he got back, he sat down facing me and said,

" I'm sorry you are unwell but I quite like looking after you like this. How would you feel if I wanted to do this forever and make it official so everyone knows how much I love you. "

I mean, he still had hold of my tampons so I simply had to say yes, it was undeniably necessary 😁

Laying in bed the morning after my birthday … “what would you say if I asked you to marry me?” After picking my jaw up, I said “… if you asked me I’d say yes!” Our wedding was eight months later and we’ve been happily married for nearly five years
