Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

For those thinking mattress toppers might make them too hot, have a look out wool mattress toppers. Super temperature regulating all year around

I bought some nail wraps after reading this thread. Just some cheapie ones from Amazon but am so Impressed so far. Will be interesting to see how long they last but after not being able to wear gels as I became allergic to them it's so nice to have my nails done again.

Now I'm off to Google nail wraps. They look great

Jewelanemone · 13/12/2023 21:34

What a lovely, sharing thread this is 🙂

QuestionableMouse · 13/12/2023 21:52

My smart plugs!

Means I can turn a light on from the car and I've set my bedroom lamp to come on ten minutes before I want to get up. I also don't have to struggle to reach the damn switch anymore! Love them!

Ladybird69 · 13/12/2023 21:58

@VanGoghsDog omg I’m exactly the same! Over the past 4ish months I’ve been losing loads of hair and finding scabs/patches of hard skin on my scalp! Really weird.

thedementedelf · 13/12/2023 22:05

A portable washing machine so when my pipes freeze I have one to use. Means I can also do 2 washings at once. It's been brilliant.

Cynderella · 13/12/2023 19:27

They look lovely. Are they the ones that need a lamp, and do you have a link, please?

12 Sheets Nail Polish Strips... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C6KG184F?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

These don't need a lamp as I wanted to avoid it as not sure what I was allergic too. These you literally press onto your nail, smooth down, cut and file the edge off and I then put a top coat on.

As I said I went for cheaper ones just to try them out...they are all glittery, wanted plain as didn't want random patterns.

I’ve bought some nail wraps too, they arrived yesterday but I’ll wait until the weekend as my polish hasn’t chipped yet. I’m excited to try them, yours look fab.

Interested to know what ones you bought.

Yes. We have 4 lamps in the lounge and I got smart plugs to control them all together on one voice command. So much easier than going round behind furniture switching them all on and off.

Bread machine sounds too good and too dangerous for me! I would not be able to stop eating!

I like mine that much that I've bought my parents some too because they should really make their lives easier!

Sorry, no idea why/how picture got there, I just pasted in the url?

Because that's what always happens on MN unless you press the "delete" icon on the picture

If you're using a platform which doesn't show the pic and the delete button immediately below where you are typing, use the "preview" function whenever including an url and delete accordingly

Dehumidifier, amazing for drying clothes, no more laundry draped round the house!

shellyleppard · 14/12/2023 07:14

Without doubt the air fryer!!!! Brought it for myself for my birthday 😂😂 hardly use the oven now, only use the hob for cooking vegetables. Boring as f I know 😂😂

For those interested in nail wraps, these are great - Lily and Fox
If in the US/Canada/Mexico you need to use the .com company; for all other locations including UK and EU, you use the .com.au company.

I am definitely going to get some of these but wouldn't have come before this weekend when I have my Xmas party.

Eyelash serum. Short straight eyelashes are a thing of the past! I love my new fluttery lashes 🙂

Can you share which brand?

wherestheweightlosspill · 14/12/2023 08:06

I’ve used a few brands and this is as good as all the rest but far cheaper

Eyelash Growth Serum, Lash Serum, Eyelash Serum, Eye Lash Serum Growth, Boost Lash Growth Serum, Advanced Formula for Longer, Fuller, and Thicker Lashes, 3 ML https://amzn.eu/d/2HlMoy9

Volt - a British brand. Life changing if you live in an urban area and doing lots of short-ish car journeys in traffic.

Thank you!

I bought a water rower at the start of the year, because my gym had increased its prices again. Cancelled my membership and spent £400 (I think?) on this instead. It's lovely to use, gives a proper workout, is stored standing up in the corner of my study and looks kind of lovely and sculptural when not in use. I love the sound of the water when using it too. I've used it consistently all year and reckon it ticks the boxes for cardio and resistance training (but I'm no expert on that so might be wrong.) It also warms me up when I'm cold WFH so I reckon it's saved me loads of money on heating as well as the gym.

@christmaspaws thank you so much for the Bored of Lunch tip - I'm loving all of the recipes and have literally written a whole meal plan for the rest of this month based on it!!!!

For all those in awe of ninja air-frier - please recommend the best one for a very large family (or a four people with very large appetites 😅) the one that will cook steaks perfectly and brown breaded chicken? Which model is your favourite? Also anyone with a great cheaper version for two people, for my parents? All info very much appreciated! 🙏
