Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

Breadmaker

AltitudeCheck · 10/12/2023 07:29

Air fryer - used almost daily, so much quicker and easier than the oven
Stainless steel thermos flask - make decent coffee at home to take to work and it is still warm in the afternoon
Hot water bottle - used in bed and when wfh and the cats now pick me every time!!

Audible/bbc sounds for podcasts and books. Makes doing the household chores more bareable

Joseph Joseph Microwave Rice cooker

Not buying but I've emptied out half my wardrobe to just clothes that suit me/fit/ I wear/neutral colours. Not for everyone but makes life easier and I feel a bit more 'put together'.

Heated throw...it really is a game changer

Donnaloveskebabs · 10/12/2023 07:45

Apple Watch. The rings have succeeded where all else has failed with inspiring me to persevere in regular swimming exercise and walking. My fitness levels have improved exponentially and I feel like a new person.
Still fat cos I like choc, but fit and fat! 😂

I too have bought an air fryer which I’m very fond of. I’ve proved dough in it, baked frozen pastries, made frittata - all things I hadn’t realised you could do.
A plastic bottle with integral bowl for the dog to drink out of, it was a necessity on walks during summer (I.e. the 3 hot weeks in June).

BethDuttonsTwin · 10/12/2023 07:48

Apple Watch.

@NannyGythaOgg which brand of nail wraps do you recommend? I've got quite sensitive nails which didn't do well with gel nails so I'm hoping these would suit me better.

DustyLee123 · 10/12/2023 08:00

Air fryer. I must have saved a fortune as DS frequently used to put the oven on for a handful of chips or two hash browns.

chimichangaz · 10/12/2023 08:01

Oh and my best buy also is an airfyer- I got one with a bigger single basket and do not regret not getting the double basket! The single one is much more versatile.

ThreeRingCircus · 10/12/2023 08:07

I would also say air fryer and earbuds! Love both and would immediately replace if they broke.

In addition to that, I bought some plastic pump dispenser bottles. They don't rust, I can clean them in the dishwasher every so often and I just buy handsoap refillable pouches in bulk. I also have one for filling with almond oil to use as a body moisturiser after my shower.

Shiatsu foot massager. I use it every day for 15 minutes.

And a microfibre hooded towel for me. I just chuck it on after my shower and it's easier than faffing around wrapping a towel round me or with a dressing gown cord. I love it!

Electric bike! Love it and go everywhere by bike rather than by car or bus.

Same for me, I love my e-bike!

Also a drying robe for my puppy to stop her drying her fur on the carpet when she comes back from a walk in the rain. ☔️

Robot hoover! Waking up to a hoovered house is amazing

Does the robot work on carpet? What about upstairs? I'm so tempted!

ohdamnitjanet · 10/12/2023 08:13

A new kitchen and bathroom after six years of shit pits

I also got a drying robe for my dog as well as the e-bike. Are you me?!

Air conditioning unit was the winner in our house this year. Breadmaker in second.

BertieBotts · 10/12/2023 08:17

I bought a weighted blanket this year after reading about them years ago. I have always had sensory sensitivities and this is brilliant. I am really glad they have gone "mainstream" and come down in price.

BruceAndNosh · 10/12/2023 08:18

Digital cooking thermometer. Finally stopped me cooking chicken for the right amount of time, then adding 10 minutes "just in case" and ending up with dry overcooked meat.

meisafairy · 10/12/2023 08:19

Coverless duvets

Total game changer especially for my 11 year old, no more being twisted up in covers or struggling to put covers on.

I purchased the night owl ones so can be washed and dried super quick.

MotherWol · 10/12/2023 08:19

Sorting out my skincare: the Sali Hughes vitamin c serum has meant that my skin is more glowy and less dull, and I’m really happy with it.

I don’t wear makeup every day, but I started using Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser with Bobbi Brown cream blush and it’s great. Easy and quick to apply, makes me look healthy and well-rested and not like I was up all night with a toddler.

A ten minute routine has taken years off me and it’s brilliant!

Nannyfannybanny · 10/12/2023 08:20

Battery operated window vac

Rattenbury · 10/12/2023 08:20

Bose noise cancelling headphones. They’re magic!

GuitarGeorgina · 10/12/2023 08:22

Microsoft laptop, to replace a HP one that was a few years old. The difference in speed and general loveliness was quite overwhelming.

Tiny little thing but
Vinyl Nail Wraps. Nail varnish never lasts on my nails, not even a day. I hate gels and other similar. They make my nails feel clunky and uncomfortable and I can't resist chewing them off when they start to chip.
Vinyls are around £1 a set. Look just like well applied varnish and last for at least a week. I love them. I still don't wear them all the time but they take about 10 minutes to do (after practicing a few times) and stay looking fabulous - and when I eventually peel them off, there is no nail damage

Do you have a link or where I can I buy them. I need some in my life.

For me a dehumidifier.
