Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

@Moveoverdarlin

Same! We got a red fox lab and he’s the best. The DC don’t complain about going for walks anymore. He’s always so pleased to see me and gives the best hugs (kind of) 😂
I couldn’t imagine being without him now and sometimes I sneak downstairs at 5am so I can have a coffee in peace and chat to him on my own 😁

Air fryer - Prosenic - looks like a small oven. Use it most days.

Meaco dehumidifier - very satisfying to empty a litre of water down the sink after drying the washing.

Panda bamboo mattress topper. So comfortable and I wake up less achy.

Yes to birdfeeders now that our old cats have finished bothering them. And yes to the Merlin app to identify them when out walking too.

Robots to hoover and mop

And a 7 lath laundry maid to hang in the utility room. It helps air dry so many clothes

I’m intrigued to hear more about your kitchen. I’m having a new one next year and drawer/cupboard space is the most important thing for me. My kitchen is quite small so I need as much storage space as I can get.

We had a very narrow kitchen and it was a real pain for both me and DH to be in there cooking so he built an extension for a new kitchen/dining room.

I am almost 70 and DH is 67 and we both now have some problems bending and kneeling and just found it so awkward trying to get things out of the cupboards when they were at the back.

We decided to just have drawers and have a mix of deep ones and shallower ones. It's quite a long run so we don't need wall cupboards either.

Most kitchen companies now do units with deep drawers but we got ours from DIY Kitchens in Pontefract. It was much cheaper than Wren, Ikea and B&Q and we are very impressed with the quality.

...Where are you keeping the butter dish?

In the fridge by the sounds of it 😄

TheKnittedCharacter · 10/12/2023 18:38

It’s not new this year, but I used my Lumea on a vexatious parch of broken capillaries I’ve had on my face for 3 years, and they’ve completely disappeared.
So it would be a Lumea had I not already had one.

My thermomix and my airfrier are the best things ! My little foldable coffe table I also love. My sleep wireless headphones are definitely the best thing I bought !

I had a miniature of this and absolutely loved it, felt light on my skin and just evened everything out. I bought a full sized one and they seemed to have changed the formula, it looks pale and feels cakey I have to mix it in with moisturiser. I might try again incase I just got a bad batch or somethin.

I originally had the 15ml version and liked it so much I bought the 40ml. I didn't find any difference in the formula.

New kitchen taps, nothing fancy but the old ones were ancient and horrible and I am genuinely delighted every morning when I come down and see them in all their shiny non-sticking glory.

Sodastream, wasn't sure how much I'd use it but turns out it's every single day and I've pretty much stopped drinking alcohol as a result.

Air fryer
Dyson straighteners
Silk scrunchie for sleeping in

Georgyporky · 10/12/2023 18:57

I bet mine is the cheapest ! Toaster bags.

I tried a microwave sandwich toaster , but my hands are not strong enough to manoeuvre the silicon covers over the metal plates.

I tried a "cut & seal" electric one, but it did neither. Both were returned.

I'd never heard of toaster bags, but they are brilliant. 7-8 minutes in the AF - quicker than waiting for an electric one to warm up & cook.

Oh Weleda skin food body lotion
Magnitone micro current facial thingy - tightens facial muscles

Dellaandthedealer · 10/12/2023 19:03

An Ebac dehumidifier, brilliant, use it mainly for drying washing indoors, does a great job. Made in UK too.

Hangfail · 10/12/2023 19:03

Please would someone who's got the robovac that mops and the coverless duvets link to them?

I am looking to get one of these..does it make the house warmer..it says it has heat exchange?

Tiny little thing but
Vinyl Nail Wraps. Nail varnish never lasts on my nails, not even a day. I hate gels and other similar. They make my nails feel clunky and uncomfortable and I can't resist chewing them off when they start to chip.
Vinyls are around £1 a set. Look just like well applied varnish and last for at least a week. I love them. I still don't wear them all the time but they take about 10 minutes to do (after practicing a few times) and stay looking fabulous - and when I eventually peel them off, there is no nail damage

These sound interesting, I will have a look at these!

Sparehair · 10/12/2023 19:16

Seal skinz running socks. Amazing. Dry feet all the way despite running through ankle deep mud and water.

Dellaandthedealer · 10/12/2023 19:19

I tend to use it in a small bedroom with the washing on an airer, even if the heating is not on it feels warm in there, we keep the door closed though.

Not sure how effective it would be for keeping the whole house warm though.

gnarlynarwhal · 10/12/2023 19:20

A piano

Althenameshavegone · 10/12/2023 19:21

Tile Bluetooth key rings for finding car keys!

DixiePeach · 10/12/2023 19:29

Apart from new puppy and air fryer it’s got to be primark tinted moisturiser - reduced to £3.50 too. I’ve been and stocked up it’s brilliant, better than my Christian Dior foundation. Gives good colour so easy to apply and lasts all day.

Dunnoburt · 10/12/2023 19:30

As stupid as it sounds......stewed steak in a tin......... I've never had a pie so tasty!

TeaSoakedDisasterMagnet · 10/12/2023 19:30

Ninja Airfryer- we use it far more than we thought we would, and definitely worth the expense.
Socktopus from Ikea- so useful when drying clothes indoors over winter, I can hang the socktopus in the window and make use of sunshine instead of having socks draped everywhere.
Bamboo socks for every day wear, so much warmer and stay soft even after washing.

Middleagedmeangirls · 10/12/2023 19:34

Big linen top sheets that I use under the duvet on the winter (effectively eliminating the need for duvet covers) and on their own in the summer.

Jones Road Miracle Balm makeup. It does everything. It's a moisturiser, protector and colour all in one.
