Ancient and Brave collagen powder - it's changed my life!!

I bought a yellow canary cardboard cutting knife after seeing it recommended on a similar thread to this one. It is fabulouse for breaking up the many many cardboard delivery boxes her that go into the recycling.

It's some kind of magic design where it cuts through cardboard like butter but is 'safe' for skin.

This is very minor, but I was given a little grater as a stocking filler last Christmas, and now I grate garlic (just like the chefs on Masterchef!) instead of faffing around with our fiddly old garlic crusher. What a difference! I'm putting grated garlic in everything now.

Any particular brand? I'm having decision fatigue!

Just Primark and a generic one off Amazon. I can’t vouch for their quality/longevity but in the few weeks I’ve had them I love them. The Primark ones are quite long so I just pull them up more (I didn’t check the size).

Even thought we have central heat and air, I added a portable air conditioner to my bedroom which has drastically improved my quality of sleep.

Portable cordless handheld Black and Decker vacuum.

A smart plug! The electric blanket is plugged in, and I can switch it on using the app on my phone, instead of going upstairs.

pollyglot · 10/12/2023 17:45

New (for me) house. Really well built by an older professional builder for their own retirement. No cracks, leaks, ill-fitting doors. Everything easy clean, no maintenance. Love it!

electric Rice maker

Stanley water cup- bought when I had bad morning sickness and only wanted to sip water through a straw! Keeps water ice cold all day, I love it.

My sodastream 😍
I use it more than my kettle!

Bellavida99 · 10/12/2023 17:56

Ninja 15 in 1 used almost daily
stovetop toastie maker - we all use it so much and it’s so much better than having a whole appliance just to make toasties

dressedforcomfort · 10/12/2023 17:57

A cold cap that you put in the freezer and then wear on your head when you have a migraine. Best £18 ever spent.

Can I ask, what make of masher did you get and would you recommend it?
I must have been living under a rock, I never knew these things existed!
I want one now.

juless77 · 10/12/2023 18:01

Mine is called Masha and it’s from Amazon

vdbfamily · 10/12/2023 18:02

I have just been diagnosed with glaucoma, mainly in one eye but have to treat both with the drops as they lengthen and darken eyelashes. I am guessing it will be same active ingredient which apparently in USA is put in expensive mascara. Every cloud has a silver lining!!

In what way? Only as I've just started it!

Paintedocean · 10/12/2023 18:09

What eyelash serum do you use?

Paintedocean · 10/12/2023 18:11

Jewelanemone · 10/12/2023 06:31

Eyelash serum. Short straight eyelashes are a thing of the past! I love my new fluttery lashes 🙂

What serum are you using Jewel?

Jemimapuddleduk · 10/12/2023 18:12

Air fryer, a beautiful brushed cotton duvet cover set from M&S/fired earth collab, neom oil diffuser, Estée Lauder hydra futurist rescue foundation.

Mummyofbananas · 10/12/2023 18:15

I have a thick proper duvetlike one for winter - it's nice and fluffy and doesn't bunch up the way duvets can- and a thinner summer one.

ThreeRingCircus · 10/12/2023 18:20

Extraafterschool · 10/12/2023 16:48

@ThreeRingCircus with the coverless duvets - do you have a Super KIng by any chance? I looked around a few months ago but couldn't find anything 🙏

I don't sorry, I have a king size and 4.5 tog or the spare bed is a double and 7.5 tog. Both only just fit in my 9kg washing machine and tumble dryer so we put a thick blanket over the one on our bed in winter.

I think with a super king you'd struggle to wash amd dry it unless you had a large capacity machine.
