Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

Had a new kitchen fitted (first time ever) and only have drawers and no cupboards. It's wonderful not having to try and reach into the back of the cupboard for a mug, a cake tin or whatever. Just pull the drawer out and you can see everything in there.

@AthenaWhite this is the foot massager I have. I absolutely love it!

Another with an air fryer

@SecondRow

Yes! It’s the stackable mini-chopper. It really is the most powerful thing of its type I’ve ever used. Highly recommended.

for those of you with coverless
duvets, where do you get them from? I know M&S did them, but the choice
seems a bit limited

For my bed I have the Night Lark herringbone one. It washes and dries well.

For the spare bed and the children's beds I bought them from ASDA and they're great too.

I have one from here:

I don't use it as a duvet, becuase it would need washing too often and it only just squeezes into my machine and doesn't dry in a day, but I use it as an eiderdown over the duvet.

£500 and counting! 😂

Mirabai · 10/12/2023 16:47

Silk duvet. I had a run ins with a microfibre ‘soft as down’ and a real down which should both be called ‘sweaty as fuck’ and gave up a silk one.

Mini heater that plugs into a wall socket - about the size of a large hand - ace.

Featherweight upright hoover for the times I can’t be bothered to get out the Miele cat and dog.

Extraafterschool · 10/12/2023 16:48

@ThreeRingCircus with the coverless duvets - do you have a Super KIng by any chance? I looked around a few months ago but couldn't find anything 🙏

Shokz Openmove headphones for running and walking I love them

I just bought those for my parents for Christmas. They are vacuum sealed so can’t open them yet. A bit worried that they will be too flat more like a blanket? Do you tumble dry them?

The one I have isn't flat, it's very floofy. Yes, I tumble dry it, half an hour on the duvet setting, but after that I let it air dry (I'm not made of money!) and it probably would dry in a day that way in warm weather, but I don't use it in warm weather....

A mini dishwasher which doesn't need to be plumbed in (tiny kitchen here!)

Need more info on this please!

Eyelash serum. Short straight eyelashes are a thing of the past! I love my new fluttery lashes 🙂

What brand did you buy and how long before you saw a change?

TomeTome · 10/12/2023 16:53

@Offwiththecircus the taste is vastly superior but the convenience is a major boon. The rice can be set to be ready for when you want to eat and kept warm for ages. It’s a sealed pot so kids can do it, you just scoop, wash and add water up to a line, shut the lid and press go. It works out how much is in there and how long etc. it can cook a single portion or enough for a large family. It takes barely any washing and frees up a ring on the hob.

Excitingnewusername · 10/12/2023 16:56

I bought a refurbish bean to cup magnifica evo direct from delonghi on Ebay, love it and miss it when I'm away from home. It was £350 and the most expensive thing I've bought for me by quite a long way.

More cheaply an over the bath airer has revolutionised out bathroom ffor £14😂We have a small heated towel rail as the only source of heat in there and for years had put up with neither dry towels nor a warm room. The dryer lives over the bath most of the time, but collapses down very small when not in use. Towels and bath mat dry and room warm now!

My favourite 'bargain' was a L'occitane advent calender reduced to £46 in the Black Friday sale. I've never bitten the bullet of paying for their products (many years on very low income) but it has given me a bit of a push to spend more on things I enjoy now I have a decent salary rather than always looking for the cheapest option and feeling like I don't warrant spending more.

FluffyKitty007 · 10/12/2023 17:03

This year:

  • spray mops! I have a Bona one for wooden floors and Vileda for tiles.

Overall:

  • The robot hoover (Roomba)
  • Dishwasher
  • Breadmaker
  • IPL
  • Hammock stand for the garden
Dmsatdawn · 10/12/2023 17:10

@DeepEnd I concur. Silk pillowcases are a game changer. No knotty hair in the morning. It stays the same as when you went to bed

Dentistlakes · 10/12/2023 17:10

LNDR leggings. Hands down the best leggings I’ve ever had, far superior to Lululemon and Sweaty Betty.

AlienatedChildGrown · 10/12/2023 17:12

Starlink

We went from the slowest to by the fastest internet in town. And save 20€ a month cos I’ve completely cancelled Telecom Italia.

WFH is now a breeze rather than a tense affair. It doesn’t even matter if DS starts downloading massive amounts of stuff when I’m in the middle of a lesson. No more arguing about who should stop streaming TV/Film in the evening.

I love my instant pot with the extra frying lid. It’s used daily. But if push came to shove I’d go back to an oven rather than give up my speedy internet.

could you post a link or a photo please? Fed up of buying sheet for my Flash mop! Thank you.

I just use microfibre cloths for the flash mop. Soak in floor cleaner wring out, attach and off I go

GingerLiberalFeminist · 10/12/2023 17:18

We've been doing a few upgrades/tweaks so;

  • installed a hot tap
  • got a dishwasher
  • got a robot hoover
  • got a big fridge
  • lined the fridge shelves with silicon sheets (!)

I’m intrigued to hear more about your kitchen. I’m having a new one next year and drawer/cupboard space is the most important thing for me. My kitchen is quite small so I need as much storage space as I can get.

Factor 50 sunscreen 😎

honeyfox · 10/12/2023 17:29

I got a Laufen Pro S wall-mounted slim bathroom cupboard, I love it. Makes my tiny bathroom as neat as a pin!

Off now to check out the nail wraps ☺️

Hiddendoor · 10/12/2023 17:31

Braun silk epil IPL hair remover.

No hair left on my legs after not a huge amount of effort. Love it.
