M&S 12 days of Christmas

I love this each year, today I got a free 75ml hand cream. Which isn’t likely to be as delicious as the florentines I got on day one last year, but you can’t complain about a freebie!

I’m hoping for a knitwear discount one day, I’ve had a cashmere cardi in my basket for weeks.

Who can top free hand cream this morning?! 😁

10% off the light up truffle tin for me.

It's crap, isn't it? 😭 The sort of thing a distant second cousin gives you because they don't really know you and it ends up in landfill 😬

LizziesTwin · 11/12/2023 10:31

I’ve kept the light up tea canister house from last year but that was free. I’m not going to buy a tin with truffles in it for anyone, I’d rather buy better quality chocolates.

catwithflowers · 11/12/2023 10:40

Ooh last day tomorrow. I hope I get the cheese discount 🧀😍

Shame you can't "gift" the discounts! I was disappointed with the cheese discount today!

JulesJules · 11/12/2023 14:56

Tried to get my free handcream from a couple of days ago - (I looked on Saturday and couldn't find it) and the woman said they had all gone on the first day. "Same every year" she said.

WhoAteAllTheDinosaurs · 11/12/2023 15:06

Free hand cream - none in store
Free Florentines - none in store.
WTF is the point?!

They must get about half a dozen in each store. I'd rather they got back to the normal Sparks offers where I get free biscuits and bread.

Exactly. What's the point of all this?

It reminds me of a free Colin cake for the Queen's jubilee, 4 M&S later and all out of stock.

MadeOfAllWork · 11/12/2023 17:31

I had a cheese discount here too. John Lewis was ‘enter a competition’ again. Well that’s no prize is it.

If there is a big freebie tomorrow the annoying thing is that many of us won’t get a chance to go until the weekend, by which time they will all have gone.

Pigsinpainauchocolat · 11/12/2023 22:42

I got a free chilled dip. Which I might pick up as I'm in town tomorrow anyway.

wizzler · 11/12/2023 23:33

Picked up my hand cream today. They had 3 scents and they were at the till points .

lap90 · 12/12/2023 00:04

20% off coats for me.
12 days and managed to blag a free yumnut, only.

BigBarm · 12/12/2023 00:26

I said I’d given up, but couldn’t help myself to keep checking. Hoped there might be something special behind that final window…

TA-DAH… drum roll…. A free bag of easy peelers! 🥱🤣

Have spent nothing, so many irrelevant discounts. Would have spent loads if they’d done a 20% across clothes and home.

hihihihihihihihihihi · 12/12/2023 01:55

20% off coats ffs

Cakeorchocolate · 12/12/2023 02:09

12 days

1 bag of percy pigs
1 pack of mince pies (yet to claim and also can't eat them but dh will if I can get them)
10 days of discounts

Pretty disappointing

Onand · 12/12/2023 02:22

I got some box with Colin the caterpillar parts in and some socks. Yay 🫠

Issummernearlyover · 12/12/2023 04:32

The only actual gift I got in the whole 12 days was a bag of chocolate coins. All the rest were discounts. I really thought that I might get something good on the last day, but it was 20% off coats. I bought a really expensive coat from M&S a month ago. I've spent more this year than ever before. I moved house and bought light fittings for every room and curtains, let alone clothes, Christmas presents and lots of food shopping.

BaruFisher · 12/12/2023 05:36

20% off coats for me too. 1 freebie (perfume) day 1. The rest mostly useless discounts.

User136921 · 12/12/2023 05:45

20% off coats but overall pleased this year, day 1 free hand cream, day 10 free EB poinsettia, saved £6.50 with the 20% off frozen, used the 20% off biscuits and 15% of Christmas cake and puddings

Crunchymum · 12/12/2023 07:26

20% off coats.

Free gifts were a tree decoration and percy the pigs chocolate coin train. Neither stocked at my M&S.

In fact when I went to the desk they'd never seen or heard of the percy the pig thing!!

VimtoVimto · 12/12/2023 07:46

20% off coats. I bought one from them last week. I’d held off as long as I could in case it was one of the offers but I wanted to try it on in the shop and Saturday was the last day I could easily get to a shop that sells clothing. I’m pleased with my free coffee though.

1975wasthebest · 12/12/2023 08:07

I also had the coats discount. Most of my discount have been useless but I’ll use the one for frozen food today and got Christmas cake slices and a handwash as freebies so not a bad 12 days for me.

Sluj · 12/12/2023 08:27

Free chocolate coins for me which I can't be bothered to drive 10 miles to get. The lip balm I got earlier and the free mens Christmas socks which my DH won were both out of stock so nothing of interest for me this year. I swear when I enquired about the lip balm that the till assistant looked totally fed up at having to tell yet another person they were all gone. She said the promotion was pretty useless as there were insufficient quantities and I agree

Pigsinpainauchocolat · 12/12/2023 09:38

30% off a build your own Colin cake Grin which I definitely won't use.

Not great.

Pack of free mince pies, free dip, rest all discounts. Blah.

Wonderwool · 12/12/2023 09:51

Free tangerines! Finally.
