M&S 12 days of Christmas

I love this each year, today I got a free 75ml hand cream. Which isn’t likely to be as delicious as the florentines I got on day one last year, but you can’t complain about a freebie!

I’m hoping for a knitwear discount one day, I’ve had a cashmere cardi in my basket for weeks.

Who can top free hand cream this morning?! 😁

Yay my first freebie ever from marks today, it's an apothecary room spray and they had loads in stock.
I got no freebies last year so I'm expecting this is it for me and it'll just be more discounts.

OrigamiOwl · 05/12/2023 11:12

20% off slippers today. Five discounts in a row (for things I am not interested in buying!)

BigBarm · 05/12/2023 12:40

So far mine are:

1 - 20% off Christmas wrap and cards
2- 30% off Christmas homeware/decorations
3 - 20% off nightwear
4 - free apothecary lip balm
5- 20% off slippers

I’ve already bought my cards/wrap and don’t need any more. Have already bought nightwear on Black Friday from a shop that had a definite discount… unlike M&S where you just don’t know what’s coming!

I would use the lip balm but won’t visit the store just to pick this up.
I would like a code NOW to get jeans and jumpers.
I used to spend loads when they did the BF friends and family 20%. I hate the hanging around waiting for these offers, which may or may not be something you want.

Me too- wholly uninspiring...

Same

I'm so disappointed with what I've been offered so far I'd forgotten about opening it today. Just remembered, and got a free pastry. Really hope I get offered something that it's worth going to the shop for, but if the 1 free thing rule is accurate then that's pretty rubbish tbh.

creamcheeseandlox · 05/12/2023 14:48

Went to the big m&s at Stratford today and got a reed diffuser. They had loads and the guy said that hardly anyone had claimed anything.

ThreeRingCircus · 05/12/2023 15:04

You're very welcome @Abracadabra12345 !

Free chocolate coins today which will be good for DDs' stockings so I went and picked them up. I also bought a box of biscuits with the 20% off as that will sort a present for our cleaner.

I don't think their reed diffusers are much good - the ones I've had are barely detectable, unlike say John Lewis which are definitely there without being overpowering

BitOutOfPractice · 05/12/2023 15:21

@MoggyP i literally cannot smell my reed diffuser, even standing next to it.

Bells3032 · 05/12/2023 15:31

I have 20% off jam

dragoncheeselady · 05/12/2023 16:23

I have had
20% off wrapping & cards
Free mince pies ( I don't like them but my sister was happy to get them)
20% off nightwear
20% off biscuits
& 20% off Jam

I would really like some free gin

MelsMoneyTree · 05/12/2023 17:38

I used the nightwear discount. I haven't been in to collect my free mascara yet. But everything else is just discounts that I'm unlikely to use.
Tbh I probably haven't spent much at John Lewis this year - if the 'treats' are linked to spending habits. But I've spent a bloody fortune in M&S so feel I deserve some free 'stuff' Grin

MelsMoneyTree · 05/12/2023 17:42

Today's were slipper discount (M&S) and headphones discount (John Lewis).

familyissues12345 · 05/12/2023 20:20

I've claimed my reed diffuser, and money off slippers, PJs and biscuits. Hoping for at least one more freebie before it ends!

overwhelmed2023 · 05/12/2023 20:49

Is this about Sparks card?

CatMandarin · 06/12/2023 00:09

Chocolate coins. Yay!

JulesJules · 06/12/2023 05:43

15% off Christmas cake, Christmas pudding and panettone today (Yes it's Sparks offers, @overwhelmed2023 )
The John Lewis one is entry to win £200 Waitrose card

1975wasthebest · 06/12/2023 08:00

15% off Christmas cake, Christmas pudding and panettone for me too which I won’t bother with as these things are pretty expensive (though I did enjoy their cake slices last week - my only freebie so far).

soupmaker · 06/12/2023 08:21

Anyone claimed the perfume? I got it the other day, what scent(s) is it? Not sure it's worth a trip, although discounted panettone might be!

Cyclingmummy1 · 06/12/2023 08:32

DH had a room spray so DS collected it on Monday when he was in town.

Issummernearlyover · 06/12/2023 08:53

15% off Christmas cake etc. That's six discounts in a row. I am such a loyal customer and spend plenty there and this is putting me right off M&S. I got the same last year.

BigBarm · 06/12/2023 10:42

15% off Christmas cake/pudding for me too. I have already bought… and I can’t stand either so won’t be buying any extra!
Come on M&S, give me a jumper code so I can get my shopping finished!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/12/2023 11:18

I think you're right @Issummernearlyover - they need to be careful they don't alienate their loyal customers.

Mind you I think you have to be a pretty loyal customer to have stuck with Sparks this far...

Pigsinpainauchocolat · 06/12/2023 13:31

Also got the cake/pudding discount. I will buy a pudding so it will be used.

But I'd like another freebie please!!
