7 days …which European city

I have 7 days to visit any city in Europe ? Where would you choose and why. I will be alone so will probably choose a hotel as I want people around me.
Have been to Paris and would love to spend longer but is such an “obvious” choice.
PS know I am very lucky!

Vienna. Beautiful in its own right, but it’s cheap to travel to other nearby capitals. Bratislava is an hour away by train, and Budapest three hours.

Or Sarajevo. A unique city, and very different to your usual European old towns. It’s where the west met the Ottoman Empire, and that’s palpable today in everything from the architecture to the culture. If you like Istanbul I believe you would like Sarajevo. Baščaršija bazaar especially.

7 days in one city is too much for me. I think only exceptions in world are NYC, London and Tokyo. 4 days tops is enough for me.

I'd fly into one place, get a train somewhere else and fly out of the other city with 7 days.

Oslo, my favourite city!

I'd also do 2 (or more) cities in 7 days... Hamburg, Bremen, Cologne maybe.

I second the Brittany suggestion of Dinan, St Malo and Mont St Michel. Great places.

Or Tallinn, Riga and Helsinki

For 7 days, I say Rome.
