Mine is 7 and i still get that, even when Daddy is standing next to her! and he's a fully capable hands on parent.

My DS is 2.5 and he will come and find me in a different room to get me to take him to the toilet even if he’s standing right to next to DH.

(DH will tell him that he’ll take him, but apparently only I am a suitable companion)

Yours are 40 and 30 and therefore you haven't been interrupted every two minutes for at least 10 years, probably much more. And grandchildren get handed back at the end of the day.

I do not enjoy it. I tolerate it because it's part of parenting a four year old so I have to.

@riotlady mine is 15 and has to constantly show me kittens on TikTok ("it's important mum - you have to look")
I let that go.... because....well it's kittens.

Some days it's my most hated word and I fantasise about going to prison.😬
