What would you hope to be eating?
Looking for inspiration.

Brunch is a horrible prospect to host as, as this thread shows, everyone expects everything, like it's a massive hotel buffet.

I'd invite people for breakfast and do sausage/bacon/egg baps. Some fruit for those feeling virtuous. Fruit juice and fizz.

Menu sounds lovely OP. Do you know you can make French toast in advance and freeze? Just need to reheat in the oven. Maybe one less faff on the day. I'm a bit tempted to host a Boxing Day brunch myself now...

So you are catering for 20! 😮 In that case, I'd make it as simple as possible and cook as much as I could in the oven. Then put it out on the table and everyone helps themselves.

I'd go with what @grayhairdontcare said, but use frozen pastries like these: Bon Appetit! All Butter Croissants 440g/8 Pack | ALDI
Bon Appetit! All Butter Pains Au Chocolat 360g/6 Pack | ALDI

I'd add some sausages and not bother with the French toast or pancakes. Possibly add some frozen hash browns too. 😋

For 20 I’d do a big slow cooked Christmassy ham to have in nice rolls and a big pan of scrambled eggs to go with the ham. Then get some trays (Costco) of pastries and nice juices and things. Easy to cook for a big number and a bit Christmassy and different.

You can’t be making pancakes and fried eggs and things for 20. You’ll be there all day

Sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns fresh orange juice toast and coffee.

Smoked salmon bagels - help yourself style - plug the toaster in on the table and let people help themselves.
Nice fruit.

Honestly for 20 keep it simple- bagels with various toppings, granola and yoghurt, sausages, roasted toms and scrambled eggs. Agree with PP that pancakes etc will be a pain in the butt and will make it hard to chat.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have 20 coming for brunch on Boxing Day.
It's the only time we can see each other over the Christmas holidays.
So I'm going to do.

Tea
Coffee
Juice
Buck's Fizz

Yoghurt
Berries
Granola
Honey

Pastries
Pancakes
French toast

Bacon
Smoked salmon
Scrambled egg
Bagels
Rolls

Room for one more? 😋😋😋
