You feel like a warm dessert, but only If you can make it in under 5 minutes. What do you make?

OP posts:
heldinadream · 18/11/2023 15:32

Pancakes with jam or maple syrup.

Scottishlanza · 18/11/2023 15:32

Golden syrup sponge in the microwave, from scratch 5 mins

KirstenBlest · 18/11/2023 15:34

Scone Wink

AlltheFs · 18/11/2023 15:35

Chocolate microwave sponge

Scone Wink

Edited

I was coming on to say the same 😂.

SCONE!

KirstenBlest · 18/11/2023 15:39

I'd probably reach for a warmed mince pie with a generous blob of ice cream.

sorry my pudding was not warm,

How about a mug

wafflingworrier · 18/11/2023 16:38

Prepare custard warmed in a pan with bits of chocolate melted in at the end so they're semi-whole, sometimes some cornflakes too

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/11/2023 16:39

Affogato - a hot espresso poured over a scoop of ice-cream. My favourite pudding ever.

Luckydog7 · 18/11/2023 16:44

Nothing cakey in the microwave, gross!

Quick cheese cake 50/50 cream cheese and cream whipped up with sugar and flavoring. Crumbled hobknob on top.

Scones

Shortbread

Chocolate gnashe 50/50 chocolate and cream blasted for short bursts in the microwave, eat hot or chill.

Cupcakes are very quick and you can make a glaze (water and icing sugad) to ice them as soon as they are out of the oven so don't need to wait to cool.

Tinned pears with peanut/nut butter crumbled buscuit, chopped nuts, chocolate sauce and cream.

Chocolate hobnobs dipped in tea.

I’m sorry but chocolate microwave mug cake is divine and I won’t hear otherwise. It’s especially nice after a night in the pub and a kebab.
Yum.

@AlltheFs

I have never had a good one, something about the microwaving process makes the texture and flavour weird and it never tastes like its cooked properly. I bake a lot so love a shortcut and use microwaves for all sorts, lemon curd, chocolate melting etc so it isn't snobbery just microwaves make textures odd for somethings.

I'm happy to be proven wrong however if you have a recipe you recommend! Oh no, cake to test, however will i endure this suffering!

Tart Tatin, slices of butter in a round pan, tip over brown sugar, add sliced apples and a sheet of ready made puff pastry. 5 mins, needs around 20 in the over though

RedCoatSearch · 18/11/2023 20:30

How are people making scones in 5 minutes?

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 18/11/2023 20:31

Sit on a snickers.

Don't overcook it though. Disastrous.

Oldieandgoldie · 18/11/2023 20:31

Hot mince pie, cold Baileys poured over.

A scone is not a dessert. Cop on.

RedCoatSearch · 18/11/2023 20:36

Aaaahhhaaaa! I say scone to rhyme with cone so I didn't get that word play!

You need a recipe without an egg in, it's eggs that make the texture rubbery.

KirstenBlest · 18/11/2023 20:38

I thoroughly recommend a hot mince pie with ice cream BTW. Best way to eat them.
