Tube in London after concerts.

I've somehow managed to get Taylor Swift tickets for next August.

Hotels near Wembley now stupidly expensive, not surprisingly.

My question is how late do the tubes run back into London? Thinking of staying somewhere central but don't want to be stranded after the concert with DD.

Interested to know this too!

Also following as we’ve booked a premier inn at King’s Cross for after the show. I’m assuming they’ll be running but just very busy?

noisyfrodge · 14/11/2023 20:17

You will get a Bakerloo line up until around midnight - you can check the timetable on the TfL website, also check the overground trains

It will be just ridiculously busy.

Just a heads up that the last time I went to a concert at Wembley, getting out was an absolute nightmare. All the paths to the tube station were completely packed, absolutely no access to the station whatsoever. We ended up walking for ages to try and get an Uber.

SquirmOfEels · 14/11/2023 20:21

What day of the week? Several tube lines are now 24 hour on Fridays and Saturdays, plus there's a pretty good night bus service

Other Tubes usually run until somewhere between 12:00 midnight and 12:30 (resuming about 05:00-0530 ish)

siriusblackcat · 14/11/2023 20:22

It's a Monday. Don't knod what time it'll finish and I know it's going to take ages to get out. Just don't want to be stranded.

Some places have curfews of 10:30 or maybe 11:00, so probably check that

Rosecoffeecup · 14/11/2023 20:30

It can be slow getting out of Wembley Stadium but the crowd control from stadium to Wembley Park is very good. The last jubilee line train towards Stratford is after midnight

noisyfrodge · 14/11/2023 20:31

You might be better to travel in the opposite way for a hotel rather then trying to get into central London

SofiYol · 14/11/2023 20:34

I saw Eminem at Wembley and the crowds for the tube were horrendous.

We ended up walking for ages to find a taxi.

I realise this was a while ago so hopefully better but if you can afford accommodation nearby it will save a lot of hassle.

Notacottish · 14/11/2023 20:35

Hi 👋🏻 it takes a long time to queue to get onto the platform after the concert but you will be able to get the tube back into central London. I’m guessing that when there are concerts or big events they do run the tubes later for those nights. Taylor is a big event so tfl / Wembley will plan for later tubes. I looked at hotels near Wembley after the concert we have tickets for but they are all
sold out. So I think will just have to hope the good vibes and crowd will keep us going all the way home.

siriusblackcat · 14/11/2023 20:40

I've managed to get a hotel in Ealing.

I got tickets for the Monday too! We will hopefully be going back to Bicester but j need to work out the trains...

jay55 · 14/11/2023 20:49

First and last tube

pinusscotus · 14/11/2023 20:57

I saw Harry Styles in June and the crowds coming out of Wembley stadium were absolutely horrendous - well controlled but it took us two hours to get to the tube, and we then had to wait half an hour to get on one because of how busy the platforms were. Then missed the last train home. I wouldn’t recommend booking somewhere too far away if you can help it! Will be a fantastic time however 🪩

Globules · 14/11/2023 20:58

How did you manage to get tickets?!

siriusblackcat · 14/11/2023 21:00

I got emailed a code this morning! Totally unexpected, she released 2 new London dates today and as I'd been on the wait list I somehow got a code.

OhpoorMe · 14/11/2023 21:00

I don't think they'll change the tube timetable for Taylor!

There are multiple stations from Wembley so head for the less busy ones eg Wembley Park

Stopsnowing · 14/11/2023 21:02

If you can bear to leave a bit before the end it will be less crowded but I understand you may not want to do that

SquirmOfEels · 14/11/2023 21:07

The 297 bus goes through Wembley to Ealing Broadway. It's a 24 hour service.

Cluckycluck · 14/11/2023 21:11

If you know what the last song on the set list is leave during that. That way you'll miss the crowds coming out of Wembley.

Dinnertime22 · 14/11/2023 21:18

I got a code and booked the prem in beforehand.I did not get a ticket, so double check the hotel as i have just canceled the Wembley one.
Will try again tomorrow though!
