Have you been blonde and brunette? Which did you prefer?

I’ve been trying to get my perfect shade of blonde and it’s impossible and I’m sick of paying £300 to end up with yellow hair.

I’m tempted to go back to brunette but it’s taken so much time, money and a good few inches gone.

Quite the assumption that she doesn’t do those things as well.

Presumably she spends on her hair because she wants to, and can afford it. Does there need to be any other reason?

I mean…given she’s not happy there probably should be another reason?

This year I went brunette after having a balayage then full head of highlights for over 10 years. Don't regret it but I'm sure I will when I start to go grey, I'm mid 30s with no greys yet.

Honestly I was sick of sitting in the hairdressers for 3hrs a time and my hair was starting to become damaged at the front so I just went dark. Added bonus is it costs half the price and I'm there half the amount of time I was before.

I honestly don't know what suits me best to be honest, I'm naturally brunette but I'm super pale with light hazel eyes.

I absolutely love how glossy and swishy my brown hair is. The only problem I've found with going dark is that it becomes an addiction, you keep wanting to go darker just like when you are blonde you want to be lighter. My hair is pretty dark now but you can hardly see my roots when they grow out.

Dark for me. It feels more ‘me’, and it works better with my face imo. I’m angular as opposed to soft, and the contrast and shadows I get from dark hair are more flattering.

Dark brown looks fantastic on me. Now I’m going grey hairdressers keep trying to make me blond but when I’ve tried it looks ridiculous because my eyebrows are so dark and the colour they create doesn’t look right to me.

Hairdressers’ top priority is to give you a high maintenance coloue/cut so you have to keep coming back to have your roots done etc

No.

I'm blonde and have been darker, I felt awful washed out and went back 3 weeks later to pop some highlights in.

But I will say there is a lady I follow on Instagram whose has a lovely hair colour she is called Chole loves to shop.

Shes been blonde and now has this lovely darker blonde with lighter ends, I think that's a great winter colour.
