I keep reading this fucking book and I'm still not halfway through.

Fireworks and birthday parties.

Feeling very much the sandwich generation with teen DC, elderly parents and trying to fit in our own social lives too!

Looking after everyone but myself.

Cleaned both bathrooms, did laundry, cooked, vacuumed, mopped.

Iceland, the country not the shop.

Drank, ate and slept too much 😴

Imagine how your weekend would have sounded if it had been the other way round. 😆

Sewing machine broke, went through floorboard like rumplestiltskin. Unrelated.

Washing, washing, washing, washing and washing then finally sauna, Turkish and steam room with blissful heat.

Fell asleep at totally the wrong time,no energy

Update after my previous post: Found more nits on DD and one crawler on me 😧

My 3 year old threw a massive tantrum at the firework event so we had to go home before the fireworks even started.

Dirty and not in a good way; we've got no water.

Just amazing, and never thought I'd feel as happy as I do right now, again.

Fun!

Was in Kent visiting little brother's family. We stood on top of a hill to watch fire works. Had lovely meal (triple cooked chips featured!). Two boisterous little kids (how do they manage to kick every part of your body??). Then a picnic in a part of a wood that their friends own.

On the negative - I have never been so cold and damp in my life! I was not expecting the woods bit and had come down in a t shirt. Next time, I will bring a cardi and my warmer coat!

Dealing with a very stressed border collie.

Quiet Saturday, exciting and profitable Sunday, as just after I'd picked a bowl of raspberries there was a shower of rain so heavy it backed up in the gutter and came though the roof, obliging me to hastily clear books off the shelf below, thereby revealing 45 euro I had stashed away and forgotten.

Painful with a lack of sleep added in for good luck ( not). (Fucking fibro, I hate you)
