John Lewis! Why does it insist on showing you things that are out of stock??

DB had this yesterday, went to his local JL as an item for his new baby was showing as in stock x 4. When he got there, of course it wasn’t in stock at all… and they wouldn’t sell him the display model either.

warriorofhopelessness · 05/11/2023 16:49

Yes, Argos too. I don’t want to select something to find I can’t get it either delivered in my area or it is out of stock in the local branch. I don’t know how they get it so wrong. Also any website that has 237465 dresses/tops/shoes to choose from, John Lewis, I’m looking at you. Far too much stock and tricky to sort through.

MK19590 · 05/11/2023 16:50

My local news website. Ads and pop ups everywhere and screen keeps jumping around

Ap24 · 05/11/2023 16:52

Amazon by far. If you click back after looking at reviewers photos it takes you to the top of the page. Half the reviews are fake. Prime video is also terrible, the layout makes it also unusable.

Branster · 05/11/2023 16:52

Boots both website and app.

Devilsmommy · 05/11/2023 16:54

Next and Matalan on my phone are an absolute joke. Click on something for baby boys but get shown stuff for girls 🙄 and the time it takes to order something, may aswell have just gone to the bloody shop and saved myself the rage at the app

coliqua · 05/11/2023 16:58

@warriorofhopelessness Yes the TFL site is bewildering!!

Every time I need to get my expense receipt I have to google how to find the page. Don't bother searching the website itself, it definitely will never help you.

JaneJeffer · 05/11/2023 17:03

Next for not removing items that are out of stock

robinsnest1967 · 05/11/2023 17:04

Boots

EE never seems to work properly and drives me so mad I'm changing when my contract comes up. I've yet to use with without some or other error message.

Flossflower · 05/11/2023 17:07

Boots and Virgin Atlantic

Beangrove · 05/11/2023 17:08

The Boots website is dreadful. Clunky, difficult to navigate, etc, etc.

Boots and Superdrug are both dreadful, for the same reasons as mentioned above.

Augustus40 · 05/11/2023 17:12

Next website is always very slow.

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 05/11/2023 17:14

Butlin's is terrible. So clunky and not user friendly at all

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 05/11/2023 17:15

Our local news website. It's a Mirror / Reach subsidiary and they seem to have one for all areas across the UK and they're all the same.
Ridiculous amount of adverts so pages take forever to load, loads of clickbait, they seem to milk all the high profile murder stories with loads of yet more clickbaity stories covered in insensitive adverts all over a news page about someone dying.

IWasFunBeforeMum · 05/11/2023 17:15

TK maxx

TK maxx

Just awful it's a lottery whether it will load or not!

EngivitaOnToast · 05/11/2023 17:17

Decathlon, I don't think I've ever been able to load it properly on any device.
I've given up with Asda.

John Lewis! Why does it insist on showing you things that are out of stock??

There’s a filter for that - so you can turn it off if you want to only see items you can buy immediately, or keep it on if you’re looking for something specific (and then you can sign up for a notification for when it comes back). Attached a pic of the app but they have it on the website too.

Boots

BarneyAteMyHomework · 05/11/2023 17:21

National Rail.

They keep moving everything around and it keeps crashing on my phone. I think it’s a plot to make you download another stupid app I can never find again.

I just want to see if my train is actually coming FFS

JesusAndMaryPain · 05/11/2023 17:22

Also abandoned NEXT years ago. Happily spend my money elsewhere.

Liquorish · 05/11/2023 17:23

Agree with everyone about Boots and Zara. I don’t get the hype about Zara in general. Boots is so terrible trying to order from around Christmas I’ve given up.
