What’s for dinner?

It’s been really hectic work wise so we’ve had quick easy dinners all week so hankering for a proper roast today.
We’ve been given a big box of apples from our neighbours so thinking it’s got to be roast pork with apple sauce and then apple crumble.
It’s going to be an earlyish dinner, around 3pm, as we’re going to a fireworks display
in the evening.

What’s on the menu for you all today?

Sausage buns tonight at fil with all the usual bonfire night fare - crisps, dips, sausage rolls, breadsticks.
because of this it’ll be some veg loaded pasta for the kids for lunch.

Roast beef and Yorkshire puddings.

Can’t decide on a pud - syrup sponge and custard probably.

Rice and beans, and pumpkin chocolate chip tea bread.

Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Swede/carrot/ Celeriac mash, Brussels and cauliflower, roast potatoes. No planned pudding.

Maple mustard chicken on top of red cabbage slaw.

And I'm making ahead a pot of Louisiana red beans and rice to use up leftover spare ribs. Non-traditional, standard would be smoked ham hock, but should fit fine with the flavour profile.

Slow cooked brisket, Yorkshires, cauli cheese, and carrots 😋

I had porridge for breakfast, and coffee + pastry after swimming. Going to a friend's now, no idea what's on the menu but he's an excellent cook!

We're hosting some friends so we're making pulled pork sliders, bbq ribs, wedges, cornbread, salad, mac n cheese, jalapeño poppers..

Roast chicken dinner that my friend is cooking, then I've a five hour drive back home with pringles and Percy Pigs.

Toad in the hole for us tonight with mash and asparagus. Nice and simple but a favourite. DP is making the batter as whenever I do it we end up with a solid lump of egg cake 😢

I have cooked an extra large chicken as will make a curry with the leftover chicken to have tomorrow

I'm going to make a blackcurrant and apple crumble for pudding.

Slow cooked brisket in red wine gravy with mash and Yorkshire pudding and veg. Might make an apple crumble.

Chicken in a cider, cream and mustard sauce, topped with sliced potatoes cheddar and paprika and tender stem broccoli. Followed by plum crumble and custard
