What’s for dinner?

It’s been really hectic work wise so we’ve had quick easy dinners all week so hankering for a proper roast today.
We’ve been given a big box of apples from our neighbours so thinking it’s got to be roast pork with apple sauce and then apple crumble.
It’s going to be an earlyish dinner, around 3pm, as we’re going to a fireworks display
in the evening.

What’s on the menu for you all today?

Sounds lovely OP.

I'm doing salmon, new potatoes and veg.

I generally only do a Sunday roast once every 2 months or so, but now ive seen your post I'm hankering after one!

We are having my main meal shortly. Lamb chops for DH and chicken for me and DS. Trying to be good and DS not keen on lamb. Not doing roasties today just new pots with fresh carrots and frozen green beans, cabbage and Brocoli. Trying to get freezer down. Also prepare yorkshire puds that I won't half.

We have a quiet Sunday afternoon for once, so I am already in my PJs, baking a chocolate cake and making my absolute favourite winter comfort food: Austrian goulasch. Am making challah also. Yum.

Undecided as yet.

I have some mushrooms, half an onion and green beans in the fridge that need using so might have sausages, and add some peas.

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, sprouts, broccoli, stuffing, and loads of gravy.

I did slow cooker ham earlier in the week, but was floored by a horrid cold.

we had ham, roast new potatoes, carrots, red cabbage, peas and a few sprouts for my 8 yo sprout monster.

Chicken tikka kebab
aloo gobi

pilau rice

with very generous help from Spice Taylor 😂

Just DP and I tonight so we’re having chicken in a Boursin and white wine sauce with roasted crushed new potatoes and green beans.

It’s a DP made up recipe so he would normally make it but he’s had a bad day with his garden room project so I’m going to run him a bath later and get it ready while he’s in there…

I had fillet steak, peas and mashed potato. A very simple and easy meal but one that just hit the right spot.
